Voters are rightly furious at the proposal to spend $700,000,000,000 that the government doesn't have to bail out Wall Street bankers who created the current economic crisis in the first place. But why then aren't we concerned about the trillions of dollars the Federal Reserve is pumping into the system? Or the trillions missing from the Pentagon? Or the quadrillion dollar derivatives bubble.

And they have gone down in value considerably.
It's funny how all pop-finance folk say to put money in 401k's and that CD's are stupid. I understand that CDs don't have high interest rates, but how can you say you are 'stupid' for using them.
House on a hill is requires extra work (have to walk UPHILL) etc
And is thought FOOLISH by those who live in the nice little valley...
Until the dam breaks that is... then suddenly everyone WISHES they too had chosen to live on the hill.

The MSM has
informed the people repeatedly about this one...(which is what puzzles me) otherwise they would still be ignorant. The actions of the Feds are rarely known, or understood, by the general populace and the Pentagon news was kept very low-profile. This one...the obvious injustice of taking tax-payes money and bailing out fat cats - is being talked about constantly by the MSM??? and understandable to even the average person on the streets.
My quandry is WHY the MSM is highlighting the issue or the president came on tv to talk to the people about it. Nothing like drawing attention to yourself.
That's because they want you to revolt
so that they can appropriate funds, pay their military contractors, get people used to soldiers everywhere. Most of the money they will get for "security" will be stolen like during katrina. They WANT you to get mad! That's why it's all done under your nose.

Compared to a physical counter-NWO movement.
We have blogs, we have community sites, we have youtube, we have the internet.
It's not enough or Ron Paul would have been nominated.
What we need is 'boots on the ground' and strategic allies.
The internet is virtual space that is great for little puffs of outrage, but basically meaningless to the outside world.

Think of the bailout as the "Authorization to Use Financial Force."
From this point on, whatever the Administration does financially will be explained as "Congress said, "Fix it" and we are. So STFU already."
The Bailout Bill provides "cover" in many ways...
Not the least of which is the "sanction of the victim" (via representatives).
If Congress authorizes a "bailout" with ANY substantial amount of money (they don't really care how much, in fact they even admit that the $700B number was just pulled from their a**) -- the point is that is Congress AUTHORIZES such a big bailout, then it is inherently "sanctioning" (and emphatically NOT condemning or repudiating) the underlying concept of having the Fed/Treasury simply print money to "bailout" whoever the Fed/Treasury want to...
In effect, this "carte blanche" legitimizes and legalizes ALL of the actions that the Fed, the Treasury, the FDIC, et al have done so far this year -- it makes the Bear Stearns thing "legal" it makes the Fannie/Freddie seizure and the WaMu seizure all "water under the table" -- there won't be any congressional inquiries, and there definitely won't be any independent prosecutors or other consequences.
THAT is what it is about... even though they don't NEED it, they WANT the "permission slip" with Congress' signature -- it's as effective as a pre-pardon from the President (and don't be surprised if they have him issue a "blanket pardon" for all his administrative people as well on his way out the door... just in case!)
They are taxing us $700
They are taxing us $700 billion so they can loan it back to us.
