One important issue
Betty referred to some economists that say 700B (now 850B!) is just one 1% of the GDP. Question: How can only 1% of GDP "save" the economy from going into recession or depression? You gotta be kidding if you think 1 % will make the difference. It is like saying I am in huge debt in my household and debt, someone please borrow or invest only one percent of my total net worth and this will make ALL the difference from me getting through this mess or not!
If they really want to bail out all the mortagage companies, financials, banks etc. the total will be more like 5 T needed. And when this 700 B does not work out or solve the problem, the problem will only be much much bigger.
Outgoing Nebraska senator Chuck Hagel voted yes for the bill (so called fiscally conservative). I am glad to see his (potential) successor, the previous governor
has rejected the bailout bill, so people can vote for this Republican.

I love reading the letters to those who voted for the bailout..it's crazy how many people are pissed off about this bill. maybe I missed out on this link, but please do see that everyone sees it.

Good interview
Betty Liu is quite smart, but one has to take into account they are in a certain range with regard to the questions they may ask, and often have to take the opposite view, in order to get the reasons why a person votes yes or no. Dr. Paul answers very differentiated, taking any firepower out of them.
