STILL misses the point
mr Beck is still missing the forest from the trees. Sure this makes McCain a hypocrite. Sure this makes an awful bill even worse. But he (at least in this youtube clip) is missing the point and so have so many others.

Superficial waste of time.
Glenn Beck has been slowly coming around to the truth and our way of thinking. This appearance didn't offer him the time to delve deep into the problem with this bill other than earmarks, and that was the intent of the interview. So it made it seem like he was for the bialout but not the earmarks, which I don't think is the case.
Regardless, his main point was that McCain's vote probably cost him the election. Honestly, I don't think he had a chance anyway, but I agree that he completely destroyed his credibility as a maverick who will "make you famous" (referring to politicians who try to inject pork spending into bills).
I never believed him from the get go, and it doesn't really matter anyway. The earmarks are less than 1% of the total budget annually. It's the rest of the bloated budget that is really killing us.
Um, B.O. voted for it, too
Thus demonstrating once again the vast differences between them.

Not that I want McCain to win (heaven help us....or Obama),
but McCain could have done his campaign a great deal of good by strongly opposing this bailout, breaking with GWB totally, and leading some kind of spirited charge against it, especially given the percentage of the population who was against it. Instead, what did he do? Obey his masters? Maverick. Right.

While I haven't posted on this site in several months, I would like to say that Glenn Beck promised to expose the Representatives that changed their minds on this bailout legislation. I pray that he holds true to his word.

McCain's MO, tripping over a dollar to save a dime. So the bailout is ok but the wooden arrows are bad? Glenn Beck likes Sarah Palin because she makes him look a little smarter.
He's right though.
Although Sarah does not know the answers at least she seems like a person of integrity and it is unfortunate that she is now in this race because she can't do a damn thing and she will just be corrupted by government that she may have been able to avoid in local and state government. I think her getting into this pool is probably going to be the worst decision of her life. Glenn Beck at least is coming around and admitting that Ron Paul is right and always has been on the economy.

I think he's right.
He said that McCain just lost the election, and I agree. This was a chance for either of them to stand up against business as usual, and neither of them had the guts to do it.
