House votes on bailout

Warren Buffet is not innocent

I feel Warren Buffet is one of the key guilty players in this fiasco. He invested what, $50 billion (?) on the premise that a government bailout would pass. If he was right, he would stand to gain a huge amount of money. If he was wrong, he would lose several fortunes. I suspect he did a lot of manipulating behind the scenes to make this thing pass. Even his support for the bailout probably convinced a lot of ignorant politicians (and even some investors) that this was the proper course of action. This man is not a good person in my books.

Register as Republican and Vote for Ron Paul

People don't be rediculous.

People don't be rediculous. This bailout did not pass. It has yet to come to the people for approval.
In order for this to pass they have to convince people to go out and borrow more FRNs and become enslaved.
If people do not borrow money for new cars, homes, home entertainment systems ect... then this bailout fails to pass and will be rejected by the people.
Our job is to teach people to be responsible with their wealth and not go into debt.
Remember, the government is only a reflection of the people.

Dr. No is not alone.

What a beautiful day yesterday was. While we most certainly lost, and more pain and suffering is on the way for the the beautiful people of these united States, something has changed. As many of us have come to learn about Ron Paul and continue to have faith in our process because of the example he has given us, we can recall how just a short time ago Dr. Ron Paul would have most certainly been the lone Nay on a bill such as this. How many times has Dr. Paul been the lone dissenting voice on bills to increase taxes/decrease liberty? He has been fighting for longer than most of us have cared. But now it seems that his message is being heard and his army is being created and we have succeeded in making our voices heard.

While our defeat was bitter our victory will be that much sweeter. We now have the names of 171 new allies and 263 enemies to be defeated in their next election. Be sure to write your congressmen who voted no and thank them for their comittment to our liberty and our constitution. And be sure to write your congressmen who voted for this attack on us. Inform them that we are beginning immediate work to replace them in the House.

Print this roll call and get your local parties and meetup groups to begin work on replacing the 263 enemies of the people.

Peace

The way our congress works-----

HYDROMAN
the speaker tells the whip to guarntee enough votes for passage. Then she tells others in tight races to vote against the bill so that they carry favor with their voters. All she wants is enough votes for passage.
I just don`t think you can count on most of the congress that voted nay.
I believe Ron Paul has about 22 liberty minded congress people on his side.
In other words don`t vote for your congress person based one this vote alone. The Campaign for Liberty will endorse the good guys.

"Since 1789 the only government on Earth that has the power to crush the American people`s liberties across the board is the government of the United States"
Robert Higgs

Congressman and Senate candidate who voted against the bill has impressed me. He also voted against the P.A.T.R.I.O.T act. He is a rising star. I can't believe I might vote for him.

Remember this day when the congress betrayed us.

This is a personal opinion, I’m not saying you should do it but you can decide for your self what best action is right for your situation, the government needs taxes to pay for this BAILOUT, but what if one day there are no taxes to collect to help pay this unconstitutional action if the congress and senate can break our laws and the only law that they claim they have in order for them to pay it is the unconstitutional (federal income tax) then why don’t people simple forget to submit that fraudulent confession form we call 1040, it is totally voluntary to submit that form, yes they will say you are avoiding paying taxes but they have to prove you knowingly avoided doing so, but think about it if you submit that voluntary form and you make a mistake in confessing the amount you made you will get audited and your screwed, and if you don’t submit that voluntary confession form they will audit you anyway and your screwed, so you see either way your screwed except that when you don’t submit it they have to prove it, than if you do submit it voluntary they already have your information because you voluntary confess to them, I’m not saying you should follow my advice, I’m simple giving you the information that’s out there.

5th amendment, No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless he or she is on presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

Yes! Our only Montana Rep. (Rehberg) voted Nay again!

Thanks to our Denny Rehberg (R) MT, for having stood the line for We the People and voted NAY both Monday and Friday. I think we'll keep him in congress (and as a lunch partner for the good doctor) even after the November elections.

Will send another thank you letter to him :-)

where's the list of those who switched?

bummed about the bums

so... monday's Nay vote got me really pumped that we the people could do something.... then the senate vote happened and then the house vote today happened, and now i'm totally bummed.

totally bummed.

Lucky you!

I've gotta throw the bum from my district out now... It's too bad the only other viable candidate is a Dem. Oh well, this one's for spite.

I called to thank mine

He vote no twice!

Look for a 3rd Party

Let's practice what we preach, steal votes from both of them and find someone who could use your support. Work on sending the message, 'There are other options'.

Bailout Unconstitutional !!

These criminals and scum in Congress have trampled on our Constitution too long. This bailout is just the latest violation of this sacred document which, they swore to uphold. How long are we going to let them get away with this? The current occupant of the White house is an absolute disaster, the most bastardized conservative to ever occupy the White house. It's time for the tree of liberty to be refreshed ...!

Taxation Without Representation is Tyranny

So, let's throw every one of the tyrants OUT!!

If we cannot vote them out because their term is not up.....dump them by recall or impeachment!

Make sure though, that we don't get another of the same ilk; they MUST be Constitutionalists through and through, not in name only!

I was pleased that my local congresswoman had the courage to vote no twice, and she's a liberal Dem that had Hilary's help in getting elected! BUT, she's up for re-election too!

"Bad men cannot make good citizens. It is when a people forget God that tyrants forge their chains. A vitiated state of morals, a corrupted public conscience, is incompatible with freedom." Patrick Henry

Bailout = General Strike

So what do we do now? Write letters to the editor? Vote the traitors out? Hold a protest?

None of that will phase them!

ONLY A GENERAL STRIKE WILL GRAB THEIR ATTENTION.

Call for immediate protections for taxpayers, debt relief, prosecutions of the Banksters, firing of Bernanke and Paulson, etc.

If CONgress fails to act, start with a 1 day General Strike. If they fail to act, then move for a 2 day General Strike. No action? Call for a 5-day General Strike. Shut down the system until the CONgress starts to represent the Middle and Working Classes!

For this to work, EVERYONE must participate. That won't be hard to achieve judging by how pi$$ed off everyone is.

If we fail to do ANYTHING in response, CONgress will start getting more egregious as the system begins to fall apart.

Let's MOVE, people!!!

Bailout = General Strike

Wow Gryphon, that's what I've been saying we should do! Can't collect taxes if no one is filling their tank, shopping, going to dinner, etc. Instead of calling it a general strike how about just having a national "Stay home sick day"? They better hope it's only a 24 hr bug.

My congressman,Bill Sali, is in

the nay section with Ron Paul. He voted no, just like he told me he would.

The bankers want a shield for the coming depression

by inserting that zero reserve requirement clause.

they will be able to loan out unlimited amounts of FRNs with little or no risk to their assets.

also, the gobbling up of small banks will allow the big ones to enjoy this new legal feature, and no other, they are positioning. Notice why morgan stanley immediately shifted to become a bank?

this is,for me, the "immunity" from bankruptcy that the bankers need to pass now--so that they can loan out without fear of losing their assets, while making more or adding to the serfs that are indebted for life.

Time to fight harder-the stakes just got even higher. worldwide, this zero reserve requirement by banks is causing isolation to american trade---and they will further impose this new rule thru your military, your young people. sigh!

So, we get to bring the bill

So, we get to bring the bill back for another vote until we get the results we want, right? I mean, isn't that how it works? We get to keep voting on it until it goes down, right?

Oh wait, that is only the procedure when Bush and his clan want to get something pushed through. Oh. Gotcha.
