Are you ready to close ranks around a single 3rd party candidate yet?

0 votes

For weeks now I've been hoping that we could come together again like we used to be and rally behind a single 3rd party candidate. We need to let those guys in Washington know that we're not simply going to roll over for them. I realize we can't win this election, but that doesn't mean that we can't use a third party candidate to rain on their parade. Let's quit fighting about who it will be and just do it!

Chuck Baldwin

Hands down.

There's not a one of them

There's not a one of them that I could support on principle. So I'll just make my protest vote at random. Except Bob Barr is right out.

Baldwin has my support.

We do stand a chance. The populace is pissed. This bailout has people disgusted and they will be even more disgusted when they see the results. This is a great opportunity for a 3rd Party run!!

"It’s not like I’m just trying to win and get elected. I’m trying to change the course of history." ~Ron Paul

Not sure yet, but...

It will be either Chuck Baldwin or Ralph Nader.
Any thoughts here?
I know Ron endorses Chuck but Nader is better known and is against corporatism.

I'm from Texas and will be

I'm from Texas and will be writing in Chuck Baldwin. He is officially on the ballot as a write in. Dr. Paul is not.

My wife and I are voting for

My wife and I are voting for Baldwin, even though my neo-con friends say it's a "wasted vote" or a vote for Obama. I believe in integrity, and so does Chuck Baldwin.

Yes....

Baldwin for the win!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am about ready to just

I am about ready to just close ranks period...if you get what I mean here. If not, see THIS THREAD

It would make sense to rally around

the candidate that most closely reflects Ron Paul's views, and has a consistent track record of integrity, and who RON PAUL is voting for.

So yea, I'm all for it!

Chuck Baldwin in November

Use these four national candidates to rally your community

around local and state candidates and issues!

We have invited Democrat, Republican and Independent candidates to our functions locally and have gotten great responses... All politics is local and if we can use 08 as a spring board we will be in great shape in 2010 to take many Congressional seats and control many State andl ocal issues!

Get the flouride out of the water, get the Sheriff to commit to not bowing to the Feds, get the local schools to teach the Constitution!... These are all battles we can win now!

First I go federal 'til Nov

Then local in '09 (or loco in'09)

All good

but it doesn't negate trying to rally together for this election. Local is definitely extremely important, but if we could make a huge dent now in federal, all the better.

This reminds me

of plagues and then "Let our people GO." We have the plagues, now we are begging, let our people go.

Why is this a question?

Ron Paul officially endorsed Chuck Baldwin - surely that's who we get behind en masse. Not to mention the fact that Baldwin has stated that if he got in he would appoint Dr Paul as Secretary of the Treasury.

Secretary of Treasury

That sounds so good.

I wish Ron Paul would squeeze Chuck Baldwin's name into every MSM interview.

I agree. We all support Ron

I agree. We all support Ron Paul and trust his judgement, so why the debate?

While the other third party candidates would be a welcome respite from the establishment, most of their views aren't really in line with the Constitution for the United States of America. Only one candidate is carrying that flag now and that is Chuck Baldwin.

If we all remain splintered, instead of continuing to stay behind Dr. Paul, we might as well call it quits.

That is all well and good as far as it goes

BUT it leaves people out there running against Chuck Baldwin. Ideally, we would bring them into the fold and actually WIN. That is WHY this is a question. Some of us actually want to WIN. Don't you?

I want to vote with my conscience

Which means voting for the next best option after the good doctor. And that's Chuck Baldwin. It shouldn't be about who's the most likely to win, it should be about who the best candidate is.

THAT's the statement we need make in November: 'This guy represents us better than any of the other options.' Regardless of outcomes, regardless of polling figures and glorified beauty contests. And the best way to make Chuck the most likely to win is to get behind him. The more people gather to his flag the easier it becomes to gather more. That has to start with your own vote.

Baldwin / Nader or Nader / Baldwin

That is the only way to solify the third parties. Can anyone make that compromise? I would.

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

I would, too.

I would, too.

I would

. I will make any compromise that unites us into ONE against the establishment.

Just the mere fact that they will not let anyone else into the debates is reason enough to do this if we didn't have a million other more important reasons. They have closed us out, all of us.

No, because it won't matter anyway.

Even if we all backed the same candidate we're still severely outnumbered. And even if we weren't, you know the elections are rigged and we wouldn't win.

Any vote for a 3rd party candidate has the same value. PROTEST. I'm wiriting in Ron Paul no matter what. If I hear that one of the other had a chace I might vote for them, but for now, it's RP going on the ballot in a big F U to the establishment.

NO never did anything

Never. If we put them all in the cabinet and we all run together hand in hand, then we are NOT OUTNUMBERED. There are too many people sick of the government, too many pining away that Dr. Paul is not still in. He can still be IN, just as Secretary of Treasury.

Can you change your NO to a YES and let's do this?

Yes we will have to monitor each and every polling place.

I think you are on to something here

I think this is a real solution to unite the people. Now is the time, Dr. Paul started it with his Press Conference. We can forgive Barr and put him in the cabinet in the proper place to excite him. We can all vote for our own person. We can recruit Ventura for a position. We can write a letter carbon to all candidates after we figure out their forte and the position that would be perfect for each in a cabinet and run for President as a group to Constitutionalize America. Read Darrell Castle's proposal to solve this economic crisis. It is excellent. Nader and Paul are already in great rapport. We are on the same page on many, many issues. Let's do this.

It is our only hope. This fires me up. You??

Ron Paul - Jesse Ventura

was the only hope for a 3rd party chance. And that's not going to happen. I think we've missed a HUGE opportunity to take this Country back. An easy 75% of the people are pissed off enough with this fat cat bailout that they WOULD vote 3rd party, but there is no one there with any name recognition and credible leadership skills to rally this huge hurricane of discontent, without Ron Paul. And he's not going for it. This was the time. This was the election. Everybody is gagging on our choices. Why is that? Just like the bail out, 9 out of 10 disapprove, but it passes. Why is that? This is probably why they waited so close to the election to even mention this bail out...they knew it was coming, but now it's too late for anyone to challange the Obama/McCain tickets.
