She hasn't done jack crap while in Congress, she voted for the bill BOTH times and her running mate is a Ron Paul endorsed Republican candidate AND today she blew off a debate that was scheduled for tomorrow between herself and George Lilly. this is,for me, the "immunity" from bankruptcy that the bankers need to pass now--so that they can loan out without fear of losing their assets,while making more or adding to the serfs that are indebted for life.

I didn't quite catch all of what she was saying, but at the press conference immediately following the bailout vote, Pelosi said something about "universal higher learning" being included in the bill -- or the next thing to tackle? -- a prospect not unlike "universal health care." And now I see it (this is prognostication, not fact...yet):
No one will be able to afford college for their kids.
But hey, kids, you can still go to college. All you have to do first, is perform some "voluntary servitude."
This then becomes de rigeur, and anyone who wants to go to college, regardless of ability to pay, will have to satisfy the servitude requirement first.
But it still gets to be called "voluntary," because you can still choose whether you want to go to college or not. Don't want to participate in the voluntary servitude? You've just decided that you don't want to go to college.

Who's to say the bailout will work?
In order for this bailout to raise money (FRNs) the government will now have to finance the debt with T-bills, but what if the government is unable to sell more Treasury bills? What if China and Japan begin to sell? Won't the Treasury be forced to mint money? Would we then have a commodity backed currency, copper? Although copper isn't my idea of a secure commodity, it is still better than paper debt. Besides with less demand for copper in construction, it will be a cheap way for the government to pay off it's debt.
Seems to me that if we want to take power away from the elite who benefit from the Federal government, then people need to stop holding and investing in T-bills and put wealth in their own bank. An investment in T-bills empowers the elitists controlling the Federal government. Remember T-bills are just paper, just like FRNs. Withdrawling our investment is their biggest fear. Holding onto T-bills locks up dollars as they say. I suggest investing in something other than T-bills such as your local economy, food, supplies, silver and gold. These items stimulate our economy and the individual is empowered. But, what the hell do I know?

I'm confident that this won't be the last such "emergency" to be forced down the throats of legislators.
