How Much Money Does The federal reserve Make
Submitted by gottago on Fri, 10/03/2008 - 17:50
directly off of the U.S. taxpayer just for printing fiat currency?
Are they taxed on their earnings by the IRS?
Thanks

As much as they want they
As much as they want they print it. The taxes we pay is a pittance it doesn't even cover the interest on the debt. They don't need it, it is a control mechanism more then anything.

The bankers want a shield for the coming depression
by inserting that zero reserve requirement clause.
they will be able to loan out unlimited amounts of FRNs with little or no risk to their assets.
also, the gobbling up of small banks will allow the big ones to enjoy this new legal feature, and no other, they are positioning. Notice why morgan stanley immediately shifted to become a bank?
this is,for me, the "immunity" from bankruptcy that the bankers need to pass now--so that they can loan out without fear of losing their assets, while making more or adding to the serfs that are indebted for life.
Time to fight harder-the stakes just got even higher. worldwide, this zero reserve requirement by banks is causing isolation to american trade---and they will further impose this new rule thru your military, your young people. sigh!
I believe the current interest bill is somewhere around...
... half a Trillion dollars a year. And they pay ZERO tax on it. Just one of the nice little perks the bastards who wrote the Fed Reserve Act tacked on for themselves.
And this is just on the money they collect in interest. Let's not forget the obvious insider trading that is done by the shareholders of the Fed. It's pretty easy to beat the market when you actually control the market.
way more than that
You forgot the principal. Every dime that they create has to be added to this interest. This current Bailout was a double-whammy. They print $700 billion. We take the money and turn around and give it back. We pay them $700 trillion back plus interest. Then the dollar inflates.
They get paid twice plus interest. We pay twice through income tax and then inflation.
$700 Trillion? Good lord
$700 Trillion? Good lord thats a lot of money.
Yes
and it is only going to cost them 1.6 million to print the $700 billion. That works out to $230 per million in 100 Dollar notes.
