Serious question for all...

Now is the time that we need to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America from all enemies, foreign and domestic. We know that what has been going on in our homeland for decades is not in line with our Constitution. How do we protect and defend our Constitution without being thrown in jail for being terrorists? We who understand the Constitution know that these things cannot stand, but things like the Patriot Act and Military Commissions Act have been put in place to separate us from our God given rights. What do we do? It is obvious that our elected Representatives aren't listening to us, they are listening to the lobbyists. They are listening to the big industries, and those who are deliberately destroying our country to make a buck. Most of us been taught to trust the government our whole lives, not to question, we've been lied to during history lessons in school, civics classes do not teach our Constitution. This line of thinking is making me ask myself very difficult questions and it is profoundly uncomfortable, especially because I am active duty military. I have sworn an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America...not an individual or a specific administration, but at the same time, I am also sworn to obey the orders of the officers appointed over me, and the President of the United States. What is more important, the Constitution or one man as President, or one administration? I cannot even speak my mind freely to my superior officers because I am sure that they would accuse me of being unpatriotic, a conspiracy theorist, or simply unbalanced. How many more like me are there? What do we do now? I love my country, but these things are simply wrong. I do not want our nation to be overthrown, I want it to be restored to its former glory. We have the framework provided by our founders....we need to conduct our business accordingly. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it. We owe our allegiance to the Constitution of this country. Does believing this constitute a crime? I want us to throw all of these elected representatives out of office so we can vote in officials who will do as We the People tell them to do. Throw out the lobbyists, throw out the special interests, destroy the stranglehold that big industries have on our Republic..abolish the illegal and immoral Federal Reserve and along with it the IRS. Haven't we had enough? Does thinking these thoughts every day make me wrong? What now, Patriots? I need to hear from you.

You are not wrong, and you are definitely not a criminal...

for thinking these things. In fact, I would say you are in good company my fellow patriot. consider the many revolutionaries who fought and died for the same freedoms and liberties we all hold so dear. Have you discussed this with your fellow soldiers? Maybe what you really need is to know you aren't alone amongst them. I bet there are more that think like you do than you know. Just need to weed them out a bit. Hang tough, and know that you are not alone. Thank you for your commitment to the Constitution.

How about all of those who died in wars against communism

and now the state owns everything? what did they fight for? the bankers right to make us worse than enemy we were fighting???

I sure hope you didn't think I was talking about any other

revolutionaries but the one's from the "Revolulionary War"

The Constitution is all we have

The men are corrupt, the orders are unlawful and therefore cannot by any moral standard be followed. However, there is still a ucmj and trouble could arise. If you are in the US, just hold tight and make no waves. Ask your fellow soldiers, "do you ever wonder why we swear to defend the constitution first and obey orders last?" or loose questions taht they can think about later...plant the seed. Ask the same things of your commanders in the right moments, you know when they arise. You'll find no resistance because you can just say you've never really thought about it; it just seemed like a deep question to ask or some crap like that.
I was 88L and within a year or so of planting some seeds like that, peacetime, I had my whole boat wearing shorts and fishing. Mission, men, myself.

Last week...

...my commander had us all outside for a promo ceremony for one of our officers. He likes to give background about ranks and history when he does these, and he brought out a framed constitution. I offered to carry it for him, and mentioned that I have my pocket Constitution that I carry with me, autographed by Ron Paul. He didn't know who Ron Paul is, so I gave him a quick rundown. He didn't seem too interested, but I think you are right that I need to keep planting seeds like that regarding the Constitution and Oath of Enlistment. I've been dropping Ron Paul commentary since last winter, and people remember. People are furious about this bailout, so I will keep pushing. It is somewhat rewarding, but it doesn't do much to quench the fury I feel every time I think about the state of our Republic.

The Retrocon
Hope for America, Ron Paul for President in 2008!

They'll find Ron Paul..just get them thinking

The trouble with dropping names or affiliations is that you immediately become identified with that person, good or bad. If your commander had thought Ron Paul was a kook (as thanks to the msm, many do) you would have lost him forever. The framed constitution was a good thought, maybe he'll read it.
Get all the easy stuff that can't get you any trouble out to as many people as you can; the fed's not a federal agency. income taxes go to pay the interest on the national debt and that's it. the revolutionary war was fought because of the banks. those seeds create patriots.

Thank you for saying that. I hope there are thousands more who

~ feel like you do.
I think you should contact Adam Kokesh here: http://kokesh.blogspot.com/
