OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!
today i dragged my ass up to to go to work,tired,kinda gloomy,expecting to have the same old, punch in punch out day. but as the day went on i heard for the first time on the radio, a ron paul commercial! immediately that put a bounce in my step, then a few people i work with said "Hey theres your man on the radio". a huge smile hit my face.and then every hour after that. i heard the ad come on the radio again and my co-workers were taking notice and saying "there he is again"! the last hour of the day, it came on again and i grabbed my hammer and tapped on my bench,while chanting "Ron Paul" "Ron Paul" "Ron Paul" and my co-workers jumped in and joined me in the for about 20 seconds till we stopped and i went wooooohoooo! then on my way home i got up enough courage to stop at a farmers house to see if i could put up an 8x4 sign on his property facing the highway.
i rang the doorbell and an elderly couple answered the door. i told them i was a volunteer for ron paul looking for farmers to help the campaign by letting us hang a sign facing the highway( not exactly those words but you know what i mean) any ways the first thing they asked was what was his stand on abortion, i told them he was very pro life and as a matter of fact he is a obgyn and delivered over 4000 babies .they said "well, come on in have seat we would like to know more about him before we commit to a sign. i was there for about a half hour talking about his issues and where the other candidates stand on abortion (a big issue with them) and by the time i was done, budda bing, budda boom i got their support and sign goes up tommorow! its in a very good location that faces both directions in and out of a pretty good sized city. i love having days like this. its catching on i'm telling ya !i have another place i plan to ask tommorow(wish me luck )

Yes this is the best part of the campaign, winning people over one at a time.
Don't forget, these people likely don't have internet, the farmer I visited didn't either...and it's easy to talk about the candidate you love to people.

I went out last night to have a drink or two and told several people about Ron in detail, and gave them Liberty cards. I approach everyone that I think is "approachable." This, of course, is in addition to having the magnetic signs on my car at all times.

I saw Ron Paul speak in NH
I saw Ron Paul speak in NH today at UNH and at first it was kinda quiet and awkward while only about half the people clapped , but as the speech went on and questions were asked, more people started clapping and cheering! I sincerely think he won a bunch of votes over today in NH!!!

this got me so pschyed up now and i got over the fear of knocking on doors. i figure, so what if they say no or slam the door in my face. i dont care anymore, i'm doing this, no matter what, and so far i'm at 100% success rate. i'm sick of this fithy government and i'm not gonna sit around and let our country die. there is too much at stake, i have to do this. iowa needs to be told the truth and i'm going to try my best to make a dent here in small town iowa. next week and the month after that there will be an indoor fleamarket with a gun show in the next building. i've rented a booth and got stuff ready to give out to promote the man. i'll be wearing my revolutionary war uniform giving out free coffee with ron paul stickers on the cups and cupcakes with ron paul 08 written in frosting and i cant wait! i am pumped!

How many people that support other candidates, really, REALLY, believe in the positions they are for, or even believe the words their candidates are speaking. Ron Paul is for real. He is worth working for.
Nasty smear campaign
Folks, there is a nasty smear campaign against the Congressman at Free Republic. Someone is posting quotes from his old newsletter in an effort to smear him. I apologize for posting in this thread, but I am not sure how to start a new one, and I wanted to bring this to people's attention.
