2nd Amendment Bomb
It's time to send a serious message. A message that can't be mistaken for anything other than what it is meant to convey. It's time that We the People tell all of our elected "representatives" that we will no longer sit idly by and watch our way of life be continually eroded by their corrupt unconstitutional actions in Washington.
It is time to exercise our rights and flex our muscle as the true power of this land.
I propose that the weekend before the election everyone who can go out and purchase a new firearm from a legal gun dealer. The objective of this action is to send a clear signal to the elected leaders of this country that we intend to keep our freedoms intact and not just a few of them. We want them to know in a very peaceful but yet forceful and compelling way that they have one last chance to honor the oaths that they have sworn. If not we will take any action necessary to ensure our freedoms remain in place.
Imagine when the Insta-check background system gets completely overloaded with new applications and melts down like the email servers and voice mail systems did this week in Washington. This month they heard our voices. Next month let them see our muscle.
No matter who gets elected president the following Tuesday, a clear notice will have been delivered to the "servants"

I will let you all banter about what kind of new firearm you will purchase between Nov 1 - 2, 2008. Personally I recommend long guns of the semi-automatic variety with high capacity clips. Dont forget to buy plenty of ammo.

I've been thinking about purchasing a pistol for self-protection. Probably a 9mm. Got some recommendations on a couple of different makes. Maybe I could talk my dad into buying a handgun on the same weekend.
Probably the best choice to get, if you don't already have a firearm, is a shotgun. Very useful for a variety of purposes. I picked up a barely-used Mossberg 20 gauge at a gun show this year for very cheap.

Haha! Great idea, but I think Washington is beyond any message you may send them.
They've proven beyond doubt that they just don't care about your needs, wants...or threats. They are completely insulated from you and beyond reach or repercussion. There will be no impeachment or prosecution. There will be no punishment.
So, buy your guns, I'm all for it. Crash their instant background check computers (which will be the end of your 'message' by the way) but don't presume your congressman, senator or presidential candidate will be cringing with fear under their desk come election day.
Only when the guns start speaking will heads turn and hearts beat faster.

is an important part of this strategy. Its important to buy as many legal guns as possible and overwhelm the system. Can you imagine the talk in Washington on monday morning. If a million gun applications come in a weekend right before the election they'll get the message and will no longer be worried about their handlers.
