together with Lindsey Graham, are McCain's foreign policy advisers in the campaign.
And that foreign policy is summed up by Sarah Palin
when she repeated, with extra intensity each time she spoke the words, three times in one interview, "We must never second guess Israel."
That sums up the McCain (and Obama, and Bush, and Clinton, and Bush I) foreign policy pretty well: NEVER SECOND GUESS ISRAEL.

Conn is the most rich (per
Conn is the most rich (per capita state). They don't get drawn into the culture war issues (abortion, gay marriage etc) because their religion is money. They don't worry about socially liberal agendas because there are too few poor people in the state. Its power and money over particular party ideology. They tried an independant govenor 15 or so years ago. They are best labeled as status quo seekers.

I switched registration from Independent to Dem (now a Lib) just to support Ned Lamont in his opposition to Lieberman. It was close, and in the end Lieberman won with the Republican vote. The Republican nominee, Schlesinger, was brilliant but was given no media or support from the RP. They were supporting Lieberman.
There is now an astounding amount of hatred toward this little man from all types now, who now know what a thief, liar, and poseur he is. There does not seem to be anything on the ground as far as removing him from office.
Interestingly, if you recall, he formed the CT for Liebereman party, of which no one, not even he, became a member. After the election, when it was found that there were no party members, those people opposed to Lieberman took over the party as a Lieberman watchdog group, so that he will never again get that party's nomination.

Sarah Palin is talking about Obama palling around with domestic terrorists, yet John McCain is palling around with Lieberman, which is no better.

To let her know who's really in charge
They are there to let her know that the CFR is keeping close tabs on her, whether she joins or not doesn't matter. They are sending a message to her and all others who are "in the know" that know that they pwn her a** no matter what.
They are also there, I'm sure, to fill her pretty head about their warped views of how the world according to garp should work. I draw this conclusion from 16 years of study of those scumbags @ the CFR and the fact that both of the losers mentioned so far in this thread are key members of that ship of fools....
