It's a petition to get CBS to ask McCain and Obama questions on the economy and wastful spending. David Walker is probably the ballsiest man in America right now.

I think we need to understand something around here...guys like Pete Peterson have more power in this country than 70% of the population, if you can believe Bush's poll numbers. We may not like it, but it is, always has been and...The administration ignored David Walker, so he got a job with someone with a different sort of power. I wish the people's govt ran the country like it says in textbooks but its just not true. Hopefully, Mr. Walker can work with the real powers to more effectively turn the tide. We won't change anything around here until the big money is destroyed or on board.

Does a guy with a BILLION DOLLARS and a petition need our help? I have a standing offer in writing with the Peter G Peterson Foundation. They are not looking for help. In fact, if you look on youtube there are some videos from 1990 of John McManus talking about the proclivity of Peter G. to form organizations set up to fail. If they are really going to do anything, they should have done it already. A petition?? c'mon. With a billion dollars, the best you can come up with is a friggin petition??

If you made it big in Politics, then you have "questionable ties". This isn't because you did something wrong, it's simply because you were in the same photo at the time it was taken.
I know Peter G is a member of the CFR, and that sucks, but David Walker is using Peter's money to stop this wasteful spending which will catapult America into oblivion.
If the devil gave you a billion dollars to do whatever you want with, would you take it and turn it around and do something good?

With a billion dollars, I could blow the lid off this thing! Heck, in response to a RFP, I proposed a great plan that would reach at least 150,000,000 americans daily for under $18 million, never heard a word. In fact, they took their phone number off their website. Where's the big campaign??

They used the Peter G. Peterson foundation to shelter a billion of their own wealth and claimed they were going to saturate all forms of media with the message that the national debt has gotten out of control. The campaign was supposed to run from August through the election. Anyone seen a billion dollar ad campaign yet?? 29 days to go

Did a little bit of digging. The petition is hosted by the Peter G. Peterson Foundation, created by Mr. Peterson with money he made from Blackstone Group's IPO, which he founded.

Other suspicious credits include: "Pete was chairman and CEO of Lehman Brothers and later held the same posts at Lehman Brothers, Kuhn, Loeb Inc. From 2000 to 2004, he chaired the Federal Reserve Bank of New York".
