Can you connect to teaparty07.com?

I still can't connect. I can reach .org and .net.

This is not a browser problem, since I can't ping the side or reach it using traceroute.

Can everyone else reach this site?

When I convert this to an IP, I get:
Details of teaparty07.com

Host Name : teaparty07.com

IP Address : 208.109.181.30

When I try http://http://208.109.181.30/

I get: bad request, invalid hostname.

What's going on?

I was able

It seemed to come up fine for me.

I sent Trevor An Email

and he seems frustrated. He says they are working on the issue and may move to a more reliable host like godaddy. I again offered up my account. Let's see if they can get it resolved today.

Buggy again - ipconfig /flushdns fixed the problem

This time, http://teaparty07.com works, and http://www.teaparty07.com stopped working.

I ran, per H1ckman, file-run ipconfig /flushdns and it fixed the problem.

So I think what is happening is

1) Their ISP is assigning a "dynamic" DNS, and something on their servers is goofed up. So the DNS changes, and then when you come back to it, it no longer works, unless you flush the local DNS cache on your computer.

This is BS. Hundreds of thousands of dollars are potentially at stake here.

just sent an email

to Trevor. Hopefully he fixes the issue. I also recommended he add "a new hope" to his page.

your site loads slow

and we don't need yet another subscription service. We really need to focus on one main site and that site is www.TeaParty07.com.

Once Trevor fixes his issues we should be good to go. The problem is we are losing precious time whenever it is down.

A different problem...

When I tried to register on www.teaparty07.org, I get this:

Method Not Allowed
The requested method POST is not allowed for the URL /index.html.

Please let them know to fix that as well so we can get people registered!

Well their source code is bad

There is no action assigned to the form in the .org site

Since this is not the "semi-official" site, no worries, and I'm not even sure that a form that posts directly to teaparty07.com (a different website) is a good idea.

But these guys obviously are in need of some computer programmer help.

All of this tends to hurt the fundraising efforts. People, if you're gonna do it, then do it right.

Just connected a minute ago

The Winds of Change!

Thanks to h1ckman - "try from an cmd prompt - ipconfig /flushdns

I did this, and now the site works.

So you just go to File-Run

And then in the window type in

ipconfig /flushdns

AND NOW THEY BOTH WORK!!!!

But apparently this is a problem for lots of (some?) people, and this may be holding down the pledge totals. I've never had this happen before.

It doesn't matter which site

you type in - http://teaparty07.com or http://www.teaparty07.com, neither work now! I'm in California btw. This has been a constant problem since the launch! I've sent numerous emails to friends to sign up and they ALL have told me they cannot access the site!

Can someone please reach out to Trevor?

both work for me

just an FYI

www.your_site.com

&

http://your_site.com

are two different web sites.

the fact that you can ping it has nothing to do with it being a browser problem or not. clear your browser cache. try a different browser.

try from an cmd prompt - ipconfig /flushdns

your ip, 208.109.181.30 resolves to p3swh074.shr.phx3.secureserver.net

so you wont get there by ip. they have the dns servers doing ip translations and name resolution.

digg http://digg.com/autos/First_Genuine_Chevy_Volt_to_be_Complet...

already tried

ipconfig -flushdns.

BTW- I get an unknown host when I ping www.teaparty07.com

maybe ipconfig /flushdns ?

Maybe you need to do a /flush instead of a -flush?

(Sort of for #2 instead of for #1 :-)

those are

identical commands...

it worked for me last night

they both work for me ... im on east coast =/

OK, found the problem.

And the links from teaparty07.org DO NOT WORK, because they are going to http://teaparty07.com, and not to http://www.teaparty07.com

Can someone contact these guys and let them know? This should be an easy fix.

Both of these addresses work

Both of these addresses work for me - 12:00 noon Eastern - using Firefox.

these guys badly need

a new hosting company. The site is down more than it is up. It really looks unprofessional. I've even offered to pay for hosting. I think godaddy charges $12 a month? Someone needs to email Trevor and explain to him that it's useless to have a video for a broken site.

Works w/ "WWW"

Strangely, this works: http://www.teaparty07.com/
While this doesn't: http://teaparty07.com/

So it seems it doesn't work without "www" in the URL.

I suppose it might have something to do with their DNS record(s) and/or HTTP server configuration, if someone is in touch with the webmaster, try letting him/her know...

YES!!!! That's the problem

This is their webmaster's fault. They need to set their nameservers to the same IP for BOTH

http://teaparty07.com

and

http://www.teaparty07.com

THANK YOU!

both sites are now down.

It's not a DNS issue, and even if it is, all these guys need to do is quit being cheap and put the site onto a reliable host. That would immediately fix the problem!

I've published numerous sites and have NEVER had this problem. Maybe they are trying to save money by hosting it at home but are sitting on a dynamic IP - sorry if I lost you.

I can't either

Tried at 12:26 EST on a Mac using Safari. Tried netscape, that didn't work either? Is it a browser issue. Help.

I can reach it fine. Try

I can reach it fine. Try F5.
