Clinton/Edwards Plot Against Ron Paul, ACT NOW
NOTE: I would have put this under Michael's blog about the Petition to ABC but didn't just so you would see it and SIGN the PETITION NOW. We all know people who want a CHOICE in the election and want to hear all the candidates. If we could only get the American People to DEMAND that now. We need to organize against this now. Seems like they are attacking their own. However, they are trying to affect the GOP nominee in other ways. For example, in Washington they are making the primary irrelevant (DNC delegates will be chosen by convention instead of the primary) freeing up democrat voters to vote for the republican nominees since the primary vote won't affect which democrat nominee is chosen.

....and I admit my heading was a bit of a bait; however, there were a couple of repubs there and the discussion was about not wanting the pesky non-media ordained top tier in debates. Had Ron Paul been there instead of on the Hill putting his whole heart into his job for us as Representative, it would have been more clearly about him as well as K and Tancredo.
I feel strongly that their whispered discussion had to do with not wanting their camera time diminished by having people in the debate who might take the spotlight off of them or who might address real issues.

Correction
Tancredo was the only Republican there and he drew big applause when he said Cheney should be impeached which nobody else would dare agree to.
Even if there had been no Republicans there, the discussion was about reducing the field in debates and this is not good.

Jane your right they should be disqualified for trying to rig debates who knows what they do behind the scenes as well. That was verbal corruption

Petition
I just can't see a petition, it's essentially sniveling for something you know your not going to control. Why not use the energy to stage our own debate?
I for one am tired of this old bs about time and the number of candidates.
With the net being what it is, it would seem a net debate could be done, and all this bs from the past could be eliminated.
I don't know the ins and outs of it but net conferencing has been advertised as working for years now. Why not a real presidential net conference? Beats sniveling to abc.
Yes to the Petition
I do not agree. (a) I believe in the Constitution and it is my right to hear all candidates. I am old enough to remember a time when it was incumbent upon the networks to give equal time to all candidates. (b) I believe in freedom and liberty and will fight to have a voice in my government rather than have big business dictate who will be president (c) I strongly disagree with what is being done all over the world in my name and most of the candidates who are given mass media time will only continue what has been done in the past (d) petitions have been effective in this campaign in the past (e) At this point many of our net efforts are singing to the choir and we need to reach more people in order to enlarge the choir (f) What Clinton and Edwards were discussing is close to obstruction of everything this country stands for (g) The Clintons and Edwards of the pack would not agree to a fair net conference and would not participate (h) It only takes a few minutes to sign a petition and only a multi-pronged approach will work (i) There is a person who has devoted an inordinate amount of his time to this site and is largely responsible for our success on the net and he took the time to set up this petition. To not take the time to sign it, to me, would be also showing a huge lack of appreciation for the huge contribution he has made to this campaign. I do not feel that signing a petition is "sniveling"....to the contrary it is exercising my rights and showing Dr. Paul that we truly understand the freedoms he is fighting for.

I think John Stossel is in ABC and I guess he will be interviewing Ron Paul on 20/20. We should bring this to his attention ASAP. And also he should know about our petition. He may have an influence on the debate process.
Does someone know how to get his attention?
Also when enough people sign the petition ( 449 by now), we have to make sure he knows about it.

Did anyone see the interview on a local New Hampshire public access channel (or at least that's what it looked like). He was being interviewed by a woman, and she asked him who he would like in his cabinet. Didn't he say John Stossel as a PR guy, or am I wrong?

....and I believe many people who are not for Ron Paul...yet...would sign this petition in a heartbeat if they understood that it is not just about giving time to Ron Paul. It is to avoid having no choice in the election but Hillary or Obama or Edwards vs. Fred or Rudy or Mitt. I honestly believe there are some good media people out there...willing to take a chance. Perhaps, John will step up to the plate. Just look at how interview after interview we are seeing Dr. Paul treated with more and more respect. I LOVE that Dr. Paul was asked why he didn't care about the people of Iraq since it would get worse if we left. I LOVE that Dr. Paul was told he didn't have a chance. Most of all, I LOVE that he was allowed to answer. I would be willing to bet all the money in my pockets that this is going to continue to pick up steam. I honestly believe that HIS TRUTH IS MARCHING ON and that we are getting a lot of unseen help.
I'd be willing to bet by the end of the day this "clip" will be on Lew Rockwell and a lot of other places. Once again, the so-called top-tiered (in this case well-coiffed and botoxed) have stuck their feet in their arrogant mouths and the repercussions are coooommmming. This kind of' thing just keeps happening....and in every case working in Dr. Paul's favor. Unbelievable!

Let's review! First, there was Whitewater and the shenanigans of the Rose Law Firm in Arkansas, then confidential FBI files turns up in her living quarters; next Vince Foster dies under very suspicious circumstances and Hillary cleans out his office before the investigators arrive; lately she talks about banishing talk radio; now, tries to narrow the field to only presidential candidates she likes.
If I were Lady Macbeth I would do those things also.
Not Against Dr. Paul . . . Yet.
I appreciate how you feel and I see how this could escalate to exclude Dr. Paul. However, I think that care should be taken when drawing conclusions - we don't want to come off as a bunch of paranoid losers - even if they are out to get us.
The video shows Edwards and Clinton discussing how to limit discourse in the Democratic Party primaries. True, this could be used as a model for the Republicans to exclude Ron Paul and others but we need to present it as:
"Clinton / Edwards Discuss Limiting Party Dialogue"
rather than:
"Clinton / Edwards Plot to Exclude Ron Paul".
Do you understand what I mean?
We must be as careful as Dr. Paul - we have to make sure that what we are saying is the truth as far as we know. We must especially be careful of the conclusions we draw, and while we may foresee how something could be turned to our disadvantage, we must present it as a concern, rather than a fact.

They ARE talking about taking action to limit those able to participate in the debates and that does mean Dr. Paul. There were Republican candidates at this debate and they do want to eliminate them as well as any other second-tier candidates so that only their voices can be heard.
Normally I am among the most cautious of bloggers here, urging politeness. I admit my subject heading was intended to catch attention, not be buried because Michael's petition is so important at this time. Plus, a majority of American people, even if they are not for Ron Paul, want a choice...want fair elections.
Look at Clinton/Edward's body language in the clip and listen carefully to the words. Also, read what the Kunich camp says about this clip. He was there. The truths Dr. Paul is exposing are not wanted by the so-called top-tier...Yes, I am concerned. I believe this clip is important.

Funny thing is that I picked all this up from of all places Drudge! In a way that is dumbed down...waay down...mass media. It also has a picture of Hillary whispering in Edward's ear and then the link to the story and clip I posted and this from the K camp. I think that may strike even some Drudge readers as wrong. (I go to Drudge every now and then to see what garbage is out there. I was surprised to see this. He is all about a combo of the white sheet for the day and attention-getters like this. It happened. It is, to me, great. Out in the open now.)

Apparently Edwards and Clinton are not afraid of what happened to Failor and Anuzis when they tried to exclude. However, Failor and Anuzis were just minor bit players and of no consequence.
Clinton and Edwards are CANDIDATES themselves...and thus this is much more serious.
This should be a nationwide scandal and should disqualify BOTH of them from the race - immediately.
