Please think before you fan the flames of panic! Who benefits from these situations?

Please do not fan the flames of panic! It's one thing to make people aware, but fanning the flames of panic can become a self-fulfilling prophecy that may make things worse and come back to bite you in a very personall way.

The real warnings should be about those that perpetuate and benefit from these panic events.

If you panic be the first to panic

Of course there are scaremongers. With some common sense you find them out. But generally speaking people here are simply more aware than the average people how ugly things may turn out. And its legitimate to warn people of the dangers.
And regarding selfullfilling prophecy: some of my German friends and relatives I urged to draw money from their bank accounts told me:"But if everyone starts to draw all his money..." I always tell them: who cares for your altruism when you are the last one trying to draw from his account ?
We live in interesting times.

Freedom brings People together

Ron Paul was right

Invest in yourself.

Ah, jzneff, I don't want credit, I want real money. Credit is for fools and just a modern form of slavery...
Besides, I've been here for more than a year and see relatively few articles calling for people to panic. What I see are people calling for others to invest in an alternative system. If people don't want to participate in this credit generated pyramid scheme, they should have the right to opt out.
I have saved quite a few friends and family from the pain of the falling markets. They got most of their debt paid off, are stocked up on food and supplies, have made investments into silver and gold and are investing in their local communities. This is not a radical idea, rather, it is what needs to be done to get the power away from the few and empower ourselves...

OK, you leave your money in

OK, you leave your money in the stock market to make us all feel better. These buy and hold philosophers are dumbfounded that it won't work anymore. It'll be 25 years before we can buy and hold again. I will calmly keep my money in cash and calmly stock up my cellar and calmly withdraw some cash and calmly buy a gun. Geeesh.

Move along

PANIC!!!!!

or not.

Who's in a panic?

It just may be that us her on the Daily Paul will be the most level headed when things get horrible. Cause we have been preparing and telling others.

Governments have a history of duping its citezens in times of

crisises and panic - (the 1929 stock market crash, Pearl Harbor, 911, etc). The people become frieghtened and the government swoops in as the self-designated savior - only to enhance its domination.

Do we really want to assist those who lay in wait to advance their agendas in these situations? The real warning should be about the motives and intentions.

You tell that to

Jim Rogers.

"We can see with our eyes, hear with our ears and feel with our touch, but we understand with our hearts."

is jzneff now going by the

is jzneff now going by the name of ralphwaldo?? Ralph.. panic or not the market is going down! the greater depression has begun! weeeeeee.

I am more concerned about the return of my money than the return on my money. --Mark Twain

Why is it?

Why is it that every time someone agrees with me, it's automatically me in disguise.

It is not time to panic, it's time to forge ahead. The credit markets are going to respond shortly...the overnight Libor just fell hard last night, and I expect the 3 month to respond next week. In the next 2 weeks, we'll find out who's on the hook for what from Lehmen's fall.

Ralphwaldo is right...panic plays very much into their hands. Now they have the excuse to use any measure necessary to "bail us out" because people are so worried. Expect a huge round of extra regulations and control over businesses because of this. Expect more socialism, expect less economic freedom. Expect all of this not due to fundamentals, but how we react to a little bad news.

*rolls out the 55 gallon barrels of gas and starts spraying*

HE'S RIGHT! AHHHHHHHHHHH!

Everybody run! Lookout! Lookout!

I may not know the truth, but I know when I'm being lied to...

First the 12 spammed the polls.

Now they are using their near supernatural computer expertise to manipulate the global financial markets.

The entire global collapse is caused by those 12 Ron Paul supporters.

well

No matter what, there will be some panic when people realize that their country has been hijacked and their money manipulated. I'm not sure how to deliver that information in a warm and cuddly way.
