we need to win montana! rp is on the ballot for gods sake! time is short so we must act fast! let us put our minds together and get a gameplan. post your ideas and what u can do to help here.

should realize that *IF* Ron Paul won the popular vote in Montana, and *IF* Chuck Baldwin won enough votes elsewhere in the country to come within 3 electoral votes of winning, you can bet your bottom dollar that the electors pledged to Ron Paul in Montana would cast their ballots for Chuck Baldwin, if it came down to that. The electors don't cast their ballot until weeks after the general election.

So, if you can, vote for Ron.

Chuck Baldwin theoretically can win. Ron Paul cannot. So we should vote for Baldwin over Paul in Montana and Louisiana, because Baldwin can win?

Wrong! This is the same logic that I hear from my non-third party supporting friends. Why vote for your candidate (McKinney in my case)...they arent going to win. McCain and Obama are the only ones with a chance of winning. You should choose one of those.

Baldwin isnt going to win. He has the access for it, but he is a shitty candidate with very little support. On polls WITH third party candidates like Barr, Nader, and McKinney, Baldwin doesnt even register. If you live in these two states, vote your heart: RON PAUL!

I will say that at this point a vote for Ron Paul equals a vote for Chuck Baldwin. Neither will even be a blip on the election process screen.

Ron Paul threw us under the bus...and most of the money we donated to him is unaccounted for. Now he's all over the MSM and selling his third book this campaign. Just sayin...

GO AHEAD, VOTE FOR RON PAUL (if it will be counted) VOTE 3RD PARTY, but I am suggesting that perhaps it would be better serving if your vote went to someone that is on enough states Ballots to win the Election who is also a Ron Paul Candidate.

Egos aside, sometimes you need to choose which battles to lose in an effort to win the war.

No, Chuck Baldwin is a candidate that Ron Paul supports. That doesn't entitle him to the more general description, "Ron Paul candidate". Many, many folks who are/were RP supporters were devastated by Paul's endorsement of this anti-Constitution, anti-freedom of choice candidate.

Baldwin has no place at the table, IMO.

He isn't using any logic. He dislikes Baldwin, because Baldwin is a Christian "theocrat" in his view. So he's just posting his lack of support for Baldwin and stating that he's a "shitty candidate".

because he is on enough state's Ballots or is a WRITE-IN Candidate. Ron Paul is not.

In Massachusetts the Deadline for Write-Ins was Sept 5th--I am not aware of any effort to get Ron Paul recognized as a Write-In.

Therefore I have decided to vote for someone that would be counted, who I know has ALWAYS supported Ron Paul and was later ENDORSED by Ron Paul---CHUCK BALDWIN.

I TRUST RON PAUL'S JUDGMENT; I TRUST CHUCK BALDWIN.

It is a numbers game; CHUCK BALDWIN needs your Vote.

Also, Chuck Baldwin has said many times that he would appoint Ron Paul as his Treasury Secretary, therefore a VOTE for CHUCK is a vote for RON!

Missing the Point, Neglecting the Constitution?

The chances of Baldwin winning this outright (Electoral Majority) are long against him. By supporting Baldwin or Paul or Barr or McKinney (depending on your jurisdiction) the tactic is not so much to achieve a majority, but to deny McBama a majority. Toward that end, a coordinated state by state strategy is superior to the one size endorsement fits all voters tactic.

If you live in Oklahoma, you have no choice. Write-in Ron Paul.

If you live in Montana or Louisiana, rejoice! You get to vote for Ron Paul!

If you live in New Hampshire, please vote for George Phillies (the other Libertarian).

If you live in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, The Dakotas, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming, please vote for Chuck Baldwin.

If you live in Arizona, California, The District of Columbia, or Maine, please vote for Cynthia McKinney or Bob Barr.

If you live in Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, or Texas, please vote for Ralph Nader or Bob Barr.

If you can’t abide my recommendations, then, your State permitting, you could write in Ron Paul, your mom, your dog, or even Bob Barr.

But never Never NEVER vote for McBama!

This decision is rather painful for me, as it will be the first Presidential election for me (since 1976) in which I will not be voting for the Libertarian. It looks as though the Barr Campaign has burned that bridge, and it likely won’t be rebuilt until at least 2010. But still I reach out, optimistic sentimental sap that I am, and hope Barr does well in Georgia and Texas.

Then.. after Sidney and Hussein each garner less than 270 Electors while McKinney picks up DC's 3 or Baldwin picks up Idaho's 4 or Paul wins Montana's 3 or Barr sweeps Georgia's 13, Republican Electors will be loathe to let the House give the Election to Barack, and could very well compromise on a Paul/Palin ticket going into the Electoral College.
Compromise: a way for Republicans to save face and for Americans to save their Republic.

I was just speaking to some fellow RP'ers who are helping me campaign and we would love to have you folks come up here to help us canvas. We have a whole lot of RP campaign materials to get out but this is a big state to cover. We will make anyone who comes up to help us help Dr Paul win feel very welcome and deeply appreciated. Contact one of our several Ron Paul Meetup groups or the Big Sky Free Press meetup (current events meetup #84) or submit a form on my website and let us know you are here or can come. We could sure accomplish alot if we had enough boots on the ground. Many folks here have landlines, no cell phones and no internet (although those numbers are changing as time goes by). We have a lot of rural areas that are difficult to canvas because of the vast expanse of land here....this is sooo doable! Escpecially if you folks help us out.....
