Ron Paul's Clear Direction
1) Ron Paul is supporting Chuck Baldwin for President.
You can write-in or vote for Chuck Baldwin in nearly all states. Ron Paul does not recommend writing-in "Ron Paul," it won't count. Ron Paul does not recommend voting for "Ron Paul," even in states where he's on ballot - that will only dilute Chuck Baldwin's votes.
2) Ron Paul is supporting Liberty PAC candidates here;

3) Get involved in local politics in your state, vote for Liberty minded state candidates, and write your representatives.

We just voted, absentee from Germany, for Chuck Baldwin. We, my family, love Ron Paul. We have trusted and listened to him because he has been in the midst of all this corruption for so long that he may know something that he cannot say publicly. Trust Him, vote Chuck Baldwin!

Baldwin who is endorsed by Ron Paul -
"I’ve thought about the unsolicited advice from the Libertarian Party candidate, and he has convinced me to reject my neutral stance in the November election. I’m supporting Chuck Baldwin, the Constitution Party candidate."

Barr once again shoots himself in the foot by saying he only would appear

What! Barr will only appear if it's just Nader?
Do you have a link for this Barr craziness? I need to bookmark it.
This is a clear sign that Barr is, and always has been, a neoconservative plant from the GOP.

Personally, I would like to vote for Dr. Tom Stevens, president candidate of the Objectivist party.
None of his websites has Chuck on the front page...not even the one you posted. Most of them discuss Paul's speeches about the economy, but hey, he's finally getting a page
To apply for the page position, please call Congressman Paul’s office at 202-225-2831 and ask for Jennifer. Deadline to apply is October 27th.
What's the purpose in ignoring & downplaying Paul's Endorsement?

I was going to let this go, but I can't!
for those writing in Ron Paul your vote will count FOR McCain or Obama! If you don't understand that than nothing more can be said. If you don't get that your write in vote will not even be recorded you shouldn't be voting.
I am sorry to be so blunt and perhaps rude, but that is the bottom line, the fact that you BELIEVE that this will make some kind of difference blows my mind.

Let's Focus on Ron Paul & Chuck Baldwin rather than paraphrases:
"I’ve thought about the unsolicited advice from the Libertarian Party candidate, and he has convinced me to reject my neutral stance in the November election. I’m supporting Chuck Baldwin, the Constitution Party candidate."
- Congressman Ron Paul, Sep 22, 2008
"I believe the real issue today, is not whether or not you're a Republican or a Democrat. The issue is not are you a liberal or are you conservative. Those titles are almost meaningless. The real issue today is you're either a globalist or you're an American. And, my friends, John McCain and Barack Obama are globalists and Chuck Baldwin is an American."
- Chuck Baldwin, Oct 4, 2008, JBS 50th Ann.
"We don't need men and women that give lip service to a religious profession. We need men and women that will support, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. That is what we need."
- Chuck Baldwin, Oct 4, 2008, JBS 50th Ann.
"I have three children, and six grandchildren, I do not want them to grow up in a land of tyranny and oppression. I want them to grow up in a land of freedom and blessing. And with God as my helper, until my dying breathe, I will do everything in my power, to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States of America."
- Chuck Baldwin, Oct 4, 2008, JBS 50th Ann.
Myself, I highly respect Ron Paul's support and opinion, but I did not automatically support Baldwin, the first thing that I had problems with was the Constitution Party platform, and the second was my fear of a 'pastor' and religion. However, now that I have researched Baldwin, I am in full support of him. I understand why Ron Paul has endorsed him. And, I have found out that many creating ill informed rumors about Baldwin are naturally those that are failing to take the time to learn much about him.
Ron Paul's Convention Speech
Ron Paul's Convention Speech
You do know
don't you that there is a move on that after the election, Baldwin will request that his electoral votes go to Ron Paul. So whatever you do, vote for Baldwin or Ron Paul, whichever is most likely to count in your state. In Texas, I have to write in Baldwin because he is registered as a write in candidate and Ron Paul is not. We can only do the best we can do. At this time, I don't see another front runner picking up great steam. So no use to go with another third party.
Did you see Huckabee tonight on Fox? Chuck Norris was on and mentioned nothing about Ron Paul. Just supported his former position of endorsing Huckabee. Talked about Fair Tax too. It was a repeat show from earlier in the week.
Paul does NOT encourage
Paul does NOT encourage anyone to vote the way he does. He told people how he was voting when pressed by Bob Barr. Seemed a little vindictive, IMO, but there you go.

Nobody said it was a directive except for you trying to twist it
The purpose of making a public endorsement is to encourage people to vote for your endorsement - otherwise you would just keep it private.
The clear direction that Ron Paul has taken is to support Chuck Baldwin for President, support other specific candidates on his Liberty PAC site, and encourage people to get involved with their representatives and local politics.
The only one saying it's a directive is you, trying to make a straw man argument.
Ron Paul's Convention Speech
Ron Paul's Convention Speech
The purpose of making a publc statement is to make a
public statement. If Ron wanted us to all vote for Chuck he wouldn't have had the news conference with the other candidates earlier AND he would have asked us directly to vote for Baldwin. That isn't the kind of man he is and, if you think so, you don't understand Ron Paul very well. We are to think for ourselves and become leaders in the fight to save our Constitution -- not become sheep. Not even "Ron Paul sheep".

Ron Paul endorsed Chuck Baldwin for President. It's that simple.
Yes, the third party conference came first, where Ron Paul endorsed voting for third parties in general. However, later he decided to specifically support Chuck Baldwin for President. Why? Because he believes that Chuck Baldwin best represents his beliefs.
Nobody is telling you that you have to vote for him, and neither is Ron Paul. However, if people never listened to Ron Paul, then many never would have even learned about all the things Ron Paul is teaching.
What you are doing is conveniently trying to downplay what Ron Paul has said at a time when it could matter most, voting for a President. And you are obviously doing it because his endorsement does not agree with your choice.
So maybe you are going to vote for Charles Jay, but some people might appreciate Ron Paul's endorsement more than you, and you should stop trying to twist it into meaning anything else.
Ron Paul endorsed Chuck Baldwin for President. It's that simple.
Ron Paul's Convention Speech
Ron Paul's Convention Speech
Two distinct endorsements
One was an endorsement for the general public: vote third party.
The other was an endorsement for his supporters: I support Chuck Baldwin, and encourage you to do the same (otherwise I would not have sent out this email).
It's pretty clear.
I'd already decided on Baldwin before Ron told me he had done so. But if Ron had offered another candidate, I would have given thought to his endorsement, but ultimately I would have made up my mind for myself (I tend to do that).

Still Writing-In Dr. Paul
The only reason I care about politics this year is due to Ron Paul's great campaign.
Baldwin won't win so why does it matter if we "dillute" the 3rd party votes.
I think it is great that Ron Paul will be on the ballot of (at least) a couple of states.
When is the last time THAT happened???
JUST MAKE SURE you check with your state's election commission about the procedure for writing in candidates so that they count your vote.
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul
Its the votes
of the electoral college that count, so it really don't matter who you vote for for president.
care to explain the electorial college?
