Very important!! This is not Socialism, it's Corporatism

We need to make this clear. This is not classic socialism. These are HUGE corporations that want power. The power to determine what energy we use, what cars we drive, what medicine we research, what information we get, etc....... Very different from classic socialism.

Socialism with Stockholders is Fascism
Fascism - Corporatism
Yep
This is a Corporate takeover
States lost thier rights...When....
They took the voting for the senators away from the state governments. And gave it to the people. The states power in the government was the senators. They voted for thier own states issues. What thier state representatives stood for. By taking the votes away from the state legislatures. The states lost thier power. The peoples voices are supposed to be heard from the house not the senate. The state goverments do not have a voice in washington. By doing this. People do not pay that close attention to who the state representatives in thier own states really are. These were the people whom the voters placed in thier state houses to vote for the senators to go to Washington D.C. If the state was a democratic majority. They would elect a democrat to Washington D.C. If the people didn't like what the democrats were doing in Washington. They would have to vote out the majority in the state legislative body. This was part of the checks and balances placed in the constitution. This mistake should be repealed in the constitution. So the states would have thier power back..

This is very true
As well as the law (amendment?) in 1913 which froze the number of representatives at 435. Based on current populations we should have about 6000 reps, which would mean much more local influence due to the vastly increased number of seats available.
Being a rep should be like jury duty on steroids instead of some quasi-royal affair.

I'm not sure
but isn't what you're describing known as "fascism?"
Dr. Paul has called corporatism 'soft-fascism'.
It is a form of oligarchy.
That's what I thought
Thanks

Yes...Mussolini is often quoted as saying that "Corporatism is nothing but Fascism". It is a merger of state and industry. It does not matter if a dictator merges industry into the state or industry merges the state into itself (like us). It is still National Socialism/Fascism. Of course you have Fabian Socialism and Marxism/Leninism...different socialist variants...but all somewhat related.

What is classic
is that sheeple are being herded into statism/collectivism by fascists (corporatists) on the right flank, communists on the left flank and socialists keep the center moving along. And they don't seem to mind.

I must say my brother-in-law is waking up, and that is good enough for me. He and my sister have seen their retirement go to almost zero in the past few weeks, and they are Obama supporters, he has actually told me, we are all screwed if we go for the Reps, or the Dems running for this Presidential election, I really needed to hear this from an Obama delegate.
sadly...
What must be done, must not be spoke of.
We are a Republic...
We are not a Socialist, Communist, Fascist, or Capitalist Country. Sad thing is people that believe, and that will fight for our Constitution are considered terrorists, that just kills me.
Yes, we are a Republic
We follow law, not religion, etc.....A Republic.

The Republic ended with Lincoln.
I'm not sure it was that late.
I think you can make a pretty good case that the republic ended when the first Bank of the United States was chartered.

Aren't we? If this has changed please let me know when, because I have thought this all my adult voting life, and I will not move away from the Oath I took for our Consititution as a military member. Please let me know when this changed, because this is real news to me, and countless other military members, I am sure.
Prior to the War Between the
Prior to the War Between the States, our nation was a Republic of strong state governments and a weak federal government whose powers were limited to those few granted in the constitution. And the People were supreme over their governments, both state and federal, The Southern defeat had the outcome of instilling a powerful federal government supreme over the states and the 14th Amendment made citizens subordinate to the federal government. The Civil War planted the philosophic seeds that allowed the legislature and the courts to shape our nation into where it is today.
It is a....
combination of both at it's best.
What is the point of this Fedor?
Is this another self justification to promote your technocratic collectivist utopia? CORPORATISM IS SOCIALISM. When you take from one and give to another by force that is by definition socialism. All these forms are just ugly variations of collectivism, the sooner we can get off this definition debate the better.
We have problems and these problems are a direct consequence of adopting socialist principles by giving the government way too much power.

?
Here come the DP zombies. Piss off. This is important. There are many liberals who think this could be a good thing (Socialism). I was NEVER supporting Socialism. You and your retarded friends were too dumb to get that. Liberals fear big, evil corporations a lot more then "Socialism". Now go away.
Socialism = corporatism
How can you not understand that any system of legal plunder is fundamentally the same. What are you even alluding to with this? Giving corporations benefits because the government is involved in the markets is a key feature of socialism. It is a moot point.

ya, the just mistakenly think that socialist intervention into the economy by the state is the solution, when in reality, that is the very CAUSE of the corporatism.
That is correct

Who would have thought?
Yes it is fascism, aka corporatism... but so what?
It is COLLECTIVISM. Just like Marxism, aka classic socialism - that you LOVE so much...
Fedor, you come out against it being called socialism...
But don't say shit when Capitalism (economic FREEDOM) is getting the blame?
You fken fail.
