As a nation we stand together

As long as we continue on our path of allowing our leaders to embark on empire building our fate is sealed. I look upon the current economic crisis as a by product of the 10 trillion dollar
debt we have incurred in order to fund the war in Iraq. While this has made a few individuals very wealthy the impact on our financial system has been devastating.
Add to this the unprecedented funding of mortgages in the south and southwest to enable the influx of illegal laborors and you have a double whammy. I agree that the mortgage crisis we are now gripped in was nation wide but I truely feel it was an orchestrated, successful attempt to fund a mass exodus from Mexico. I have seen too many stories of contractors who feel they have a god given right to build, build, build even though there was really no market for their labors. And they all decried the fact that their labor force was so transient that they absolutely had to employ illegals. Their biggest gripe was that once they were forced to produce papers for their employees they lost their experienced workers. To go on further I noticed a pattern of the employers stating that moderately documented workers only hung around long enough to bring in other workers, mostly relatives, and once this occurred they headed north. So much for the free market, if you choose to pay substandard wages just ignore the law and employ illegals
This is all plain as the nose on our faces yet we are so consumed with the mechanations of our rulers, note the plummeting of gas prices prior to the election as well as the artificial bouying of our stock market, that we will allow them to continue their pillaging of our nation. The latest polls demonstrate that the average American is now concerned excusively with the economy with absolutely no understanding that our empire building is responsible for not being able to mitigate the excesses of our mortgage crisis without taxing us into oblivion.
