From Lindsey Graham to Joe Wilson I'm livin in the land of neocons!!!! how in the world can we oust these traitors? We are going to need a good "Conservative Christian" canidate to even stand a chance in this red state, not to mention a boat load of funds! If you dont live here you may not understand but there is some really really really hardcore Christians here, not that i dont like Christians I do but a lot are the scary Pat Robertson type!

My business partner lives in Columbia and is about as
christian conservative as they come. He dislikes Sen. Graham as much as anybody I know, but the chances of actually getting rid of him are not terribly promising right now. (So he says) As long as he can keep the faith of his followers, they will probably keep showing up at the polls and marking his name. It takes one heck of a lot of door knocking, foot pounding and tactical interaction with a lot of people, by a lot of people, in order to turn the tide against an incumbent and it's a long hard drag.

tell people that when they say the pledge to the flag, they don't swear allegiance to the "republican party" but to the republic (founded on the dec. of indep. and the constitution) for which it stands.
'Would you be free men or slaves?'
Restore the Republic.

I'm not from SC but ......
it IS frustrating when we can't get these guys out of office. Our system is set up so that each state thinks of their tenured congressperson as "a pig with lipstick, but they're OUR pig with lipstick!" If they have very many years in Congress behind them, then "they may be bad, but at least they have power to stand up in Congress for our state". Not only that, but "look how many earmarks for us they were able to get passed!"
