Is it STILL wrong to rob banks?

They have no reserve requirements. The money is backed by nothing. How is it wrong to take nothing? I'm not suggesting doing it, but just philosophically speaking: Is it still wrong?

Who uses credit, sells themselves into slavery.

The government is issuing T-bills, which are paper and have no real value, to trade for FRNs, which are paper and have no real value, for paper held by banks which have no real value.
And they expect the market to go up?
Get real? Real money that is!

Yes,

because it shows weakness in the system and no order.

Ah,

so when 'the system' initiates the use of force of law to extort property from an individual, that is acceptable. When an individual, who has essentially no other legal recourse, attempts to recover it by physical force, then that is not.

Right.

At the bottom of every stack of government regulations is a gun.

didn't think so.

Evidently the government

Evidently the government considers it just fine and dandy to rob ME.

If you have the wits about you to steal an instrument of debt, then I bid the best of luck to you. Before you begin, know this: No matter how large the pile of debt you collect, it will consistantly lose its ratio of value. Therefore, I would advise that a more successful endeavor may simply include you showing up every morning to partake of their free coffee and cookies.

Breakfast, indeed, holds intrinsic value...

Ask the Christian "Bible Thumpers"

They seem to forget that the only time Jesus resorted to violence was against the money changers.

A better solution is to petition law enforcement to arrest the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, including Ben Bernanke and, especially Alan Greenspan. Only after law enforcement has failed is it proper to take the law into your own hands, and then only to enforce the law.

This is what I'm thinking

My credit is crap right now however, all loans are guaranteed by the gov. I think I should go finance a Ferrari and not pay for it. The gov. already said they would protect all the loans. The "money" isn't real anyway. It's not really stealing in my mind

Against the law? Yes..

Immoral? Not in my opinion.

That is why there are times when I think pork barrelling is just fine - there is some logic for a politician who can find a way to get back in pork what is taken from constituents in taxation. Money removed from someone's pockets for purposes for which they did not directly consent, is fundamentally immoral, IMHO. So getting some back, however tainted those pork projects may be, has some hint of fairness.

When the relationship between the government and the governed is so displaced, so out of touch with reality, all bets are off.

Yes, but apparently it is legal for them to rob us

Go for it.

Just remember what happened to Bonnie and Clyde. But you'll probably get less time in prison than a drug offender.

Nothing is "wrong" as long as

you have more guys and guns to keep anyone from stopping you. Right and wrong is only legally defined by the authorities' ability to force you into doing what they want.

That's why corrupt government officials can get away with murder and nothing will stop them / no one will prosecute them, but if you fart in public they'll have police taser you and charge you with disorderly conduct. They couldn't really do that if you had 100,000 guys of your own to fight off the police.

Yep

That's basically what democracy is: mob rule. If you can vote to take money out of someone's pockets, without their direct sanction, it's still theft.

But's it's legal because it was voted in by a majority.

If we only had kept the Republic that was gifted to us. We allowed them to take it away.
