I received a glimmer of hope today

I went into a local Papa Murphy's take & bake this evening. The kid running the cashier asked, "are you watching the debate tonight?" I said "no, I don't support either one of the so called candidates." He said, "yeah, me either. I'm a Ron Paul guy." I about crapped my pants. I gave him a high five, and said "there is hope for the future of Amerika." I told him to keep fighting for the constitution. The rest of the staff, and the other customers looked at us both like we were insane. I couldn't wait to tell my wife whom was waiting in the car for me. MADE MY FRIGGIN' DAY!

Had to replace my jalopy recently

The first thing I did before driving away from the lot in my new car was to proudly adorn the bumpers with my Ron Paul stickers! The 20-something sales kid (Air Force Reserve) says, "Oh! Ron Paul! My wife is from Lake Jackson, Texas! We love Ron Paul!
Side note: Up and down my street, people have put out their lawn signs, so in the middle of all those, my lawn sign says "None of the Above!" with my Ron Paul Sticker under it.

it makes my day...

when I find more ron paul supporters. :-)

There is hope!!

I sat next to a guy from New Jersey who was a big Ron Paul fan. We had a great conversation. If we keep spreading the word, good things will happen! Keep talking to people. I will!

well i'm glad somebody found hope today...

because i had an idiot at the gym tell me i was wrong when i informed him the dollar was no longer backed by gold. when i told him this country hasn't had any resemblance of the gold standard since the 70's he rolled his eyes and smirked. i actually thought about breaking the mirror behind him with his face, but luckily i chose not to. now i'm going to burn a copy of Freedom to Fascism and tell him "i told you so." i wanted to bet him $10,000 dollars, since that's the most cash i can get to quickly, but i knew like most others he's living paycheck to paycheck.

Getting searched at the airport

At SeaTac airport on my way to Minneapolis for the RP rally, I was passing barefoot through the metal detector (and fuming to myself about it) when the metal detector guy saw my t-shirt and told me he supported Ron Paul too! I told him I was on my way to the rally and a bunch more of us were coming through. Then we pounded fists and I headed on to look for my shoes... Surreal.

Same thing......

at the Miami airport with a TSA Dude.
He saw the Ron Paul stickers on my luggage
and gave me the ole Ron Paul nod.
Nice to know there are some converts.

Encouraged during road trip...

I lurk on here a lot, but do not post often. However, I had to add my two sense to this thread.

We recently made a trip from our home in western B.C. to Idaho, proudly sporting our "Canadian For Ron Paul" bumpersticker. Instead of playing the license plate game, I offered $1 to whichever of my children could spot the first Ron Paul sign and a quarter for every sign thereafter. The first one was sighted shortly after crossing the border. A buck well spent. We counted more and more as the miles sped past, feeling more hopeful with each hour! (I now owe $$ to the kids:-) Oh, the most glorious and heart-stirring sign was just outside Moses Lake, in the heart of agriculture country - a gigantic, white Ron Paul R3VOLUTION sign, dwarfing the much smaller campaign signs nearby!!! I nearly cried to realize there are many others like me still out there, hungry for freedom, common sense and the Constitution. I am grateful for the DP, believe me, but seeing the evidence first hand in the "real world" was the encouragement I needed.

p.s. For some of our guests, my children and I made a RPRP... a home-made Ron Paul Raspberry Pie and we took a picture. Believe me, it tasted as good as it looked! Only wish I could have shared it with you all!

Oooops! 2 Cents!

But maybe "sense" is okay after all, eh?

got a beep!

I was startled by a beep from someone yesterday and I thought the person was upset with me because he was yelling. Well he was beeping and yelling Ron Paul! because I had a Ron Paul bumper sticker and he had one too and I only figured it out as he passed me - that's when I saw his bumper sticker. I LOVE when that happens! It does make your day to know that there are sane people wondering the earth with you.

What you can do.

On the national conference call for the Campaign For Liberty (they happen every Sunday at 8pm ET, & are for Team Leaders), we talked about Precinct Captains, or anyone for that matter, standing as near to the polls they can, & handing out small leaflets encouraging people to vote 3rd party. Chuck Baldwin recently sent out an excellent letter that says why voting for a republicrat is such a foolish gesture. You could take that quote & then list the 3rd party candidates on your leaflet, national, state & county. There are many people who walk into the polls undecided. This effort could gain that many thousands of votes across the country. Of course, the voting machines are rigged, but the media does do exit interviews. Wouldn't it be great if across the country, WE showed up & gave people an opportunity to make a statement? Think about doing this. Maybe one of our graphics talents could make up a flyer w/national candidates & we'd add our own local ones before printing. I also think we need to ALL start wearing black on Fridays as a sign of mourning for our country. People talk every day about making connections with like-minded people & having serious conversations about the state-of-affairs. This black movement could snowball.
Any takers?

Also, if you haven't joined the Campaign for Liberty, what are you waiting for?

I was at the cash register at the pizza parlour this evening...

When a guy came in to pick up a pizza and gave me a high five for Ron Paul. Made my friggin' day!

Be funny to meet here at Daily Paul. Virtual reality.

It's almost always a great day for both sides when two Ron Paul people meet. (Barring a few name-calling incidents here and there.)

glimmer of hope

I rode my bike to the VA in Murfreesboro, Tn a while back with my 4' - 6' Culpeper Minutemen flag waving through the downtown area and got a few cheers from passing cars.
It feels good.

"How can we justify to the unemployed and underemployed in the United States the incredible cost of maintaining a global empire?" - Dr. Ron Paul

Even

my mccainwashed grandparents think Ron Paul is an absolute genius "on about 80% of the issues".

I'm going to the Mall of America today with my Uncle (From Britan, thinks Ron Paul is a "loony", and thinks free markets suck and that banks should be controlled by the government and must be highly regulated... at least he can't vote yet 8P )

Yeah, we should definately shout out at fellow Ron Paul folk

I was at a gas station parking lot sitting in my vehicle (waiting on my wife) and some lady passed me yelling "Hell yeah, Ron Paul!" and gave me thumbs up.

It was a nice mini-rally.

Ran into another Daily Paul denizen ...

... at a gas station in Jackson CA while going over the mountain to do maintenance on the desert house, a few weeks back.

My wife and I had a nice chat with him and a couple of his friends.

for Monopoly and download the image for $1 Monopoly money. They let you print more for your own game (so you can experience inflation when you play Monopoly-Like the FED!) They say "short on cash? Just print more!" Sound familiar?

After printing the money, I turn it over and run it back through the printer. On the back it says "Google and watch these videos" Freedom to Fascism, Money as Debt, Monopoly Men, Maxed Out, Overview of America.

I cut it out and it's time to shop!

At the checkout, I always offer to pay with the Monopoly money first. People in line and the cashier laugh and say that it has the same value! Everyone gets some of my educational cash!

RonPaulLincoln

That's awesome!

I think I'm going to borrow that idea but use MAD Magazine Game money instead--specifically the $1,329,063 bill (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:1329063dollars.jpg) sicne it's worth the same as $1 now...

Very creative...like how you think!

Back in the good ole days, at some of our RP meetups over lunch, we'd stamp Ron Paul on *real* dollars for circulation....

R3VOLution

I have a drawer full

of RP bumper stickers, so as they wear out, I can replace them for years to come. I get lots and lots of kind comments about RP, and plenty of agreement for his stances, but the idiots out there ALL say the same thing: I wouldn't vote for him because he doesn't stand a chance of winning.
I try to explain that this isn't an f-ing horse race...you're not SUPPOSED to pick the winner...you're supposed to vote for what you believe in your brain and heart is right for our nation. The whole damn country is brainwashed. I keep trying, though.

"The liberties of a people never were, nor ever will be, secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them." - Patrick Henry

...and there's this one

I may blow up at the next person who says to me...I wouldn't vote for him because he's "too isolationist." Where did that come from? Must have been some kind of Republican talking points.

1. my sister and brother-in-law
2. numerous homeschoolers
3. numerous people at gun shows

I think my sister may have come around. I hope so, since my brother-in-law is now running for congress as an independent.

I have argued with some of the homeschoolers and gun people (all Republicans), but I think I have convinced almost none of them...unless they really didn't know anything *and* were already against the Iraq war and the US empire.

My Ron Paul for President is fading...

and right after the election my new "Don't Blame Me, I Voted For Ron Paul" bumper sticker will be going on....lol!

R3VOLution

I have both stickers on my car now!

Voted for him in the primaries and will vote for him again in November here in Montana!

I was setting up a new computer system and fax for ....

a high level political official that had just taken office. Since I had done work for many others at the same level she inquired about various political aspects of the job and I told her that I do not get involved in local politics as it could very well threaten my present job. I went on to tell her that nationally I thought the nation was headed for great peril, and casually stated that Ron Paul seemed to be the only candidate that seemed to be genuinely ready to confront the issues head on. To my surprise she stated that she also supported and voted for Ron Paul! This was a real eye opener, to realize that no matter how bad the federal government makes the situation I have hope that there are enough elected officials locally that will take the reins in the event of governmental collapse. I may be wrong, but trying to keep the faith.,

A couple months ago, i was in our local Publix....

wearing my Ron Paul-Hope for America shirt, and I was stopped by a gentleman who commented , "you're a Ron Paul supporter?" So we had a nice conversation about Ron Paul and the Campaign for Liberty. This last weekend I met a former Church of Christ pastor who really liked Ron Paul for President, He works with my hubby and plans to help us with the coming chaos.

yay!

Yes, I think it's possible there are more people awake than we realise...In two recent meetings I attended people talked about the economy - it's unavoidable today...and people and staring to see that we need change and that we don't have any real choices...someone even said, it seems like the questions in the debates are already decided on the answers already prepared...there is hope.
