POLL: What percentage will Third Party Candidates take?
Submitted by FireTeamforFreedom on Thu, 10/16/2008 - 20:46
I've been hopeful that a large portion of the voters will get to the ballot box ... and seeing the alternative choices... change their minds and vote third party... but maybe I'm just dreaming.
What do you think? What percentage will all third party candidates get? (scroll down)

Whatever "They" decide the thrid parties will take.
did you follow the primaries?
You want to talk about NH?
I'm sure Mr. Diebold will take care of the percentages...he always does.

What's the point?
The current duopoly couldn't care less what percentage the third parties get as long as "one" single third party doesn't build any substantial momentum. If each third party gets nominal support, it will hardly be noticed. However, if one third party were to get a disproportionate percentage, it would create cause for concern within the DNC and RNC. Ron Paul's rediculous press conference encouraging a vote for all third parties was a foolish decision on his part. That, combined with his non-enthusiastic endorsement of Chuck Baldwin has undermined the greatest opportunity for a genuine third party threat since Ross Perot.
I was never in this for the hero worship; I was in this for a cause. I'll be voting Libertarian.
whoever you support please campaign hard
78% of the people opposed the criminal bailout.
These folks should vote for Nader Baldwin...
Info war............up to you guys to push the info.

"How can we justify to the unemployed and underemployed in the United States the incredible cost of maintaining a global empire?" - Dr. Ron Paul
I have been canvasing local businesses with the Fluoride
Issue... the candidate is a Ron Paul Republican but it's an unbelievably popular issue to talk to people. Even in Democratic areas... when they say "Oh he's a Republican!" I come back with..."True, but this issue is too important... and just for the record... I'm voting third party!"
I have not had a bad experience yet with the fluoride issue. It's a real eye opener because there is no main stream campaign against it!

Id love to see a sort of "Bradley Affect" in our favor
(The Bradley Effect is that phenom that the McCain camp will use to explain the rigged votes whereby a percentage of people, presumably closet racists, feel like they should SAY they are voting for Obama- but when they step in the booth they vote for the white guy and marf the polls) I hope the 3rd parties pull in a ton of people that dont want to admit around the water-cooler that they are voting Baldwin, Nader etc but when they get to the polls they vote conscience.
Live Free or Diebold
I'd love to see 10%
But 3-4% is more realistic.

The polls I've seen thus far put the totals, for all 3rd party
candidates combined, at no more than about 7%. Doesn't look like they will approach Ross Perot's level of penetration in 1992.

Judging by the poll numbers so far 4-7% is at 67%...
it appears many of us don't have much faith in our fellow Americans, or don't have much faith in our electronic voting system.
The numbers of third party
The numbers of third party supporters have always been historically low. Thanks to our friend The Internet, our views are amplified and recognized.
