I have been here for a year telling people that we are all lab rats for the pharmaceutical industry. I cite my experience in clinical research, no one listens. I don't have Jeff Rense interviewing me about it, so I must not know what I am talking about.
One last time: Don't take Rx drugs. You are better off cooking up your own meth, at least you KNOW that you are taking poison.

Thats why they are pushing so many vaccines, and psych drugs. Vaccines will beused to steralize, weaken the immune system, and deliver the superbugs. They are already doing this. Its also getting harder and harder to opt out, or refused to take any meds. Especially children and elderly. They are also going after the vitamins and herbs because they know they have curative powers. It all jsut makes me sick.

Actually I believe the date you should be interested in is somewhere between 2029 to 2045. This is the estimated time horizon of The Singularity, which is the emergence of "greater-than-human" intelligence, or artificial intelligence. Now, some people, like Ray Kurzweil are actively preparing for such an eventuality as if it will mean eternal life and all kinds of other utopian visions. I don't buy into that, since anyone familiar with human history and human frailty would surmise that we are incapable of creating an intelligence greater than our own, even if it is our "collective" intelligence creating it. In my opinion, the human species will not be "obsoleted" in our lifetimes, and perhaps not in millions of lifetimes to come.

Singularity
I am familiar with the Singularity, obviously.
Creating greater than human intelligence is the endgame for human technology (because machines will design and produce new technology afterwards, not humans), and it will be achieved just like airplanes and plasma screens. The convergence of brain scans, semantic web, reverse engineering of the human brain, and machine intelligence indicates we're mere decades away from a singularity.
The issue is not technical feasibility, but the potential for this sort of omnipotence to lock in a technological dictatorship which would lead to the consequences outlined in Freitas' essay.
Omnipotence is absolute power. You can use it for good, and make the solar system a paradise which we cannot fathom. Or, we can create hell.
The decision is yours, you live in the most important time in the history of the world.
