A sheep in the headlights

Today I had an Obama campaigner come to my residence. When I opened my door, the woman addressed me by first name and questioned me: "who are you voting for?"
My response: "probably Chuck Baldwin."
Woman's response: (stood there silent with a dumbfounded look on her face for about 10 seconds) She had no idea what I was talking about. She then stated: "you're not voting for Obama?" as if this was expected. I informed her "that will not be happening." She handed me a flyer, said "thanks" and walked away with a continued puzzling look on her face. My hope is that she will look up who Chuck Baldwin is. Oh, and the flyer was about the "differences" between Obama and McCain on the economy - it went in the garbage.

I can relate
A young man stopped by my place. I wasn't home at the time, but even after my husband informed him I've already dropped off my ballot at the courthouse, he was determined to convince me to vote for Obama, as well as a local state house candidate whose main issue is single payer health care. All that literature went into the garbage as well.
One encouraging development though: this young man saw my "George Lilly for Congress" sign on the lawn and told my husband he preffered George (he's Ron Paul endorsed) over his socialist incumbent Diana DeGette (Colorado Congressional District 1) so I'm hoping I influenced him more than he tried to influence me!
Makes me happy to be living in a secure building. Yuck.
Although it would be fun to engage some of these idiots.
So, what about the Patriot Act and Personal Liberties...? Do you think Iran is REALLY a threat to the US...? How a bout the bailout...?

In the mail the other day, the Obama gang mailed an application for an absentee ballot to my old friend Jeremiah. Jeremiah has been dead for five years (rest in peace my friend). If I were I crooked Obama supporter, I get have easily voted twice this year. I just needed to give his information and then wait for an extra ballot to arrive in the mail.
Yesterday, the Obama sheep came looking for Jeremiah. They were so shocked when I told him that he's passed away five years ago. I just don't understand isn't their supposed to be some sort of legal documentation when someone dies?
I had a old lady come to my door in an Obiden
shirt and hat and stickers on her pants with a flag attached to her hat. She asked me the same question. I gave the same response as you did. The amazed look on her face ... she said ," No, I meant who are you voting for for PRESIDENT?" . I clarified , Chuck Baldwin. Then I said to her, I'll tell you what Miss, although I am well informed and educated about the failings of Mr. Obama, Mr. McCain, and the federal gov't in general, if you can clearly state 2 of Mr. Obama's policy's I will vote for your man, if not I'd suggest you educate yourself as to what it is exactly you are voting for. Silence....... more silence...... crickets .... more crickets ...at least 2 uncomfortable min. of her "thinking" ..... then she just walks off ...

The republican candidate for my state representative came to the door the other day. She was ill prepared for me. If fact, when I asked her exactly what the job she was running for entailed, she couldn't answer the question other then to mutter some inane crap about being able to do only what the fed's would allow, because in most cases the state needs permission from the fed's for fear of funding cuts or some such nonsense.
I asked her what our state republican platform consisted of and she looked at me like I just stepped off a spaceship. I told her I'm a Ron Paul republican and view my state representatives job as being my voice to annouce to DC that we will be seceeding from the union soon. It was more then she could take....lol

I'd give them an ear full, I'd follow them down the street filling them in on why they should vote 3rd party. just emagine you with your Ron Paul or third party candidate T shirt,button,sign, walking with them on there rout going door to door handing out Obama slim jims and you go right behind them saying please vote ---- third party and why they should.

I'm in NC, I had an Obama canvasser come by just about an hour and half ago. Right off the bat he goes.." I see the Ron Paul stickers on your car,...I like Ron Paul, I donated to him, but now I am going for Obama. I told him about the CFR, and he did'nt even know what it was haha. He wrote down everything I was telling him though,...I told him one of Obama's foregin policy advisors Zbigniew Brysnki open calls for a world government. He then said he likes McCain too, but not for a president. I told him to go to youtube and type in John McCain vs John McCain and watch John McCain get caught in lie after lie from his own mouth. I too told him I want to vote for Chuck Baldwin, and he goes "who's that?". So I told him how Ron Paul erged everyone to vote 3rd party this year because the 2 mainstream canidates McBama are virtually the same and will change nothing. I asked him if he would watch a dvd if I gave him one , he said sure. So I gave him a burnt copy of the first Zeitgeist I had lying around...I wish I had some more freedom to fascisms or a loose change, but thats all I had burnt to give out. I told him to just skip the beginning on religion but the rest of it was good and might chnage his mind.
Moral of the story -- always have dvd copies on hand, they are the most useful tool to wake people up and require little effort.
