Active duty troops DEPLOYED on our soil and ... no response?
I can't be the only one concerned about this, can I?
This is the first time active duty troops have been deployed on US soil since... since... the civil war, I'm guessing. (I'm probably going to be corrected)
How many contacted their congressman over this? How many were outraged and frightened by the prospect of battle hardened soldiers being deployed - not stationed - deployed here?
This is the venue of the National guard, not the military. NO TROOPS should be deployed stateside EVER!
This can only lead to trouble. There is but one reason an active duty brigade is deployed here and that is to test the water. Since no one is complaining, I guarantee you there will be more here soon. And the only reason to have them deployed here is for you.
Not Al Queda or Hells Angels or Bloods or Crips... they're here for you 'my friends'.

They love us and would never ever let anything happen to us. That's why any vaccine they give us must be safe. Our troops take them, and look! There they are out on the streets with their big guns. They look fine to me. They are here to protect us from white Al Qaeda and domestic terrorists. If they need to ban all guns then we should hand them over. Then only terrorists would have guns and that way they would be easier to spot, because in this post 9/11 world you must be a terrorist if you have guns. I'm voting for Obama. He'll ban all the bad guns and go after them terroristic bitter clingers. We need "Change" after all, but don't worry. Obama loves our Constitution. He would never "Change" that, or get rid of it. "Beginning Oct. 1 for 12 months, the 1st BCT will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command, as an on-call federal response force for natural or manmade emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks.
They may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack.
Training for homeland scenarios has already begun at Fort Stewart and includes specialty tasks such as knowing how to use the “jaws of life” to extract a person from a mangled vehicle; extra medical training for a CBRNE incident; and working with U.S. Forestry Service experts on how to go in with chainsaws and cut and clear trees to clear a road or area.
The 1st BCT’s soldiers also will learn how to use “the first ever nonlethal package that the Army has fielded,” 1st BCT commander Col. Roger Cloutier said, referring to crowd and traffic control equipment and nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals without killing them."
It is all coming to a head
very soon. The reason no one is outraged is that the outrage spectrum has been exceeded too many times and there is no way to express this level of frustration and despair. Also, we know that we are powerless to do anything but react and we are therefore sitting ducks unless these members of the military are true Americans and will honor their oath to uphold the Constitution.

Who received more donations from our military then any other presidential candidate. Not dem nor Repub but from both parties? During the primaries. Think real hard about that one. I think someone did the math by max contributions to the minimum amount of people who could have donated. Who I ask you? Who among them! Just stop and think.

I support our troops- I always will...but
"Deploying" them fresh back from Iraq is irresponsible. I read this today and it gives me pause for concern as to whether or not they are receiving proper debriefing and or testing before being reassigned. I certainly dont want to paint them all with a broad brush- but lets face it- some, while we are proud beyond words of them for their service, may not be quite ready to handle things back home with a cool head.

The point is there is not any way for the government to use
troops against a well informed and well armed population.
The other point is the assumption has to be made that all troops and police will go along with some dictatorial order to "lock us down."

I have stated before that the majority of our active duty troops are overseas. Most of them are in Iraq and Afghanistan. Six years of war has resulted in little or no success. Iraq has 29,000,000 inhabitants over the equivalent of 4% of the square miles as the US. The US 300 million plus.
Iraq has 145,000 US troops. Have they imposed military control?
Could 400,000 US troops impose control on 300 million fellow citizens spread out over 3.7 million square miles?
How would this be achieved?

Active troops are deployed here and no one is making a sound. This is very dangerous. If it is not challenged, there will be further deployment. At what point will you start worrying? When there is a sandbagged fortification at the center of your town?

There are many thousands of military personel
stationed at dozens of bases around the country on a regular basis. I'm not sure what you are alarmed about.

if you are deployed- you have been sent from your home base .(where you are stationed) to a designated region to carry out a mission.peace keeping,combat,riot control,securing a city,killing citizens.what ever our gov. uses you for.

3. What is the purpose
