A new strategy to win?

That's what the Campaign for Liberty is alll about!

The press conference that Barr fiascoed was supposed to be the beginnnings of a unity organization to drive an independent candidacy for 2012. That's why both Gary Johnson and Jesse Ventura were there. The "We Agree" statement was a campaign platform. That's also what Jesse was hinting at in his R4R speech.

After following the movement for over a year and reading countless blogs and watching some great videos, I believe this may be a direction we are attempting to go in. This is some of my thoughts on the issues at hand.

Possible Plan of Action when McCain gets slammed in the Election

Recapture the Republican Party by giving millions of people the chance to join the New and Improved Republican Party created by the Campaign for Liberty and the Ideals of Dr. Ron Paul.

Create a strong message to be repeated for the next four years. E-mails blasts, signs, slim Jims, sponsor music concerts through America, Billboards etc... We need to get more funds infused into the campaign, need to get supporters with deep pockets or celebrity endorsements who love our cause. We need to think outside the box to make turn our message on fire. We need Great PR, Great Slogans and a great message.

The Real Republicans will emerge, a group whose ideals have been forged by great Americans who gave us the blueprint for America which was hijacked and desecrated by unconstitutional, unethical and greed driven individuals and corporations.

The events in the next four years will make our statements self evident.

The Message and the Audience

I will list a few audiences for each message that will substantiate the statement I love to use "E Pluribus Unum" (meaning: out of many, comes one).

First off, by recapturing the GOP, 80% of the job has been done for us in regards to administrative, ballot access and other huge undertakings needed to start a third party. Plus there are millions of people that are "rank and file" republicans who blindly pull that level just because they are republicans.

Restore and obey the U.S. Constitution. A return to Constitutional Government. This is a common thread in many Americans. We need people to understand that since we have neglected this document, many of our problems have been created. Many laws and Government agencies would not exist if they followed the rule book. Many Libertarians and constitutionalists will welcome this. There are many.

Reduce the size of Government. The next four years we will see the size of Gov't grow more so and it will be evident to many that bigger is not necessarily better. Easy sell.

Return to limited Federal Government involvement, return of State rights. SEE ABOVE

Restore civil liberties as our Founding Fathers envisioned. Many groups out there support this, too many to name, align our efforts with them. The young people of this country will embrace this. There have been many movies over the years that relate to this concept and every younger generation "gets this". Old bastards like myself in our 40's also get it because as kids in the 60s and early 70's, this was big.

Return to a non-interventional Foreign Policy. Stop aggressive and unjust wars. 70% of Americans are against the war. No brainer. Educate, educate, educate..... Expose the lies, embrace the facts...

Purge Washington of Lobbyists and corporate interests dictating congressional activities. Easy sell, we all know it is corrupt, but there is no one putting their feet to the fire. I say we do it legally, jail them if we can, vote them out if we can't and most of all, embarrass them publicly. They are lucky it is not 1776, they would be tarred and feathered and I guarantee all the others would "Get it" rather quickly and cease activities that are not in the best interest of the American People.

Sound Money, Phase out the Federal Reserve System. Return of the Gold Standard. By year four, the valuation of our currency and the rate of inflation will be self-evident that something MUST be done. Educate, educate educate......

Re-evaluate the War on Drugs, more specifically on Marijuana usage and persecution. The number of decent law respecting Americans that use this plant for medicinal and recreation use in the privacy of their homes is enormous. Many will vote knowing that this plant may be decriminalized and the benefits for changing the laws regarding it are well documented from a health perspective to economical advantages. The reseach and opinions are out three but must be heard. Educate, educate, educate....

Secure our Borders. Millions of people know this and want change. Something must be done and soon.

We must form a plan ( Hoping it will come from the top down at the direction of Dr. Paul), develop a strong national team and commit ourselves to 4 years of relentless activities to accomplish our goals. Sounds hard, well let me end this with the last lines of the Declaration of Independence and think what those brave Patriots did to save our country.

"And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor."
