I just responded to this thread but when finished writing it appeared the thread had been removed.
I wondered in my message if Obama was using the failing health of his grandmother as an excuse to be out of the spotlight for a little while (whilst Michelle was taking over) and take the heat off his courtcase. Fancy if the public would learn the facts...

The Constitution is the law of the land
and Congress can't just meet and decide to undo or rewrite any portion of the Constitution. So if McCain was not natural born Congress saying otherwise is yet another fraud upon We The People. To change the Constitution requires 2/3 of the states or more voting fraud as the sly Congress is known to do from time to time.
If they get away with it this time what are the odds The Terminator becomes Der Fuehrer in 2012?

Your lawyer has told you that if you do not file a response, the plaintiff can win a default judgment. That is what appears to have happened in this case.
There is no point in further discussion however, until we can see how the judge disposes of the case.
Can we pressure the judge?

If the judge disregards the law you can probably count on Berg taking it to the next level almost immediately without delay. My guess is that all the paperwork is already prepared for that.

In McCain's citizenship case
In McCain's citizenship case the Congress (or maybe just the Senate) actually held a vote to pass a resolution stating that McCain was a natural born citizen. That means his status was so questionable that it required a vote by the Senate to "settle" the matter.
This case with Obama is very different, though. But who knows... with our Congress they could probably care less and pass some special law or resolution for Obama as well.

we know that McCain was not born in the USA proper but that hasn't effected his campaign bid.
The fact is where you were born does not inhibit your ability to run for president. The courts will only intervene after the individual in question has been elected. At that point there is a case to be brought, up until that point they won't touch it because its a hypothetical situation.
At least that was the conclusion that we came to several months back when we were considering trying to get McCain disqualified over the same issue (He was born in Panama).

If this is true, Michael, I have to thank you, since I was just about to post this to the German Paulists as a valid information suppressed by the MSM!
Having said this, it sounded quite reliable. Though I'm not educated in your legal system, even under our civil law, not answering a claim after due notice may be treated as consent of the defendant. So why is this blatantly false?

if you read a very important part of the article closely, which a lot of people seemed to ignore, it stated that (& i'm paraphrasing b/c it's deleted) "obama admitted" all of the allegations "by virtue of the fact that his campaign failed to answer the questioner in a timely manner"
we all hated it when dr paul was maligned by disinfo & smear tactics during the primary. there's plenty to dislike about obama's policies to form a rational argument against him w/o stooping to karl rove's level.

I thought those were Obama's replies when I read it. It still will be interesting to see the outcome. Like I said before any one of them will fill the role pretty much the same. It does make you wonder why they didn't answer the questioner in a timely manner just to get past it all though.

I read that by a failure to respond, the allegations could be found to be true by default. Not uncommon in a lawsuit...but look at the possible ramifications in this one....loss of a presidency. I simply do not undersand why Obama has chosen to ignore this if he was born in Hawaii and not Kenya.. Why not just come up with the requested paperwork? I generally agree with Michael, but I did not see this as a missive of disinformation. As I remember it, perhaps the title was a bit over the top and should have been changed to correctly reflect the content.. There actually is a lawsuit and Obama and his DNC team did fail to respond, thereby, by law, giving weight to the allegations, imo..

what you mean by not seeing it that way. I am not agreeing it is disinformation, but I was just wondering why it got deleated? Another poster mentioned that the part of "failure to respond" part was not in the article. So, I thought when I read it they were actually Obama's words. I also wondered if he has nothing to hide, why not just respond and get past it. I really have no idea what the ramifications would be. Postpone the election? Biden or Hillery step up to the plate? I think we are seeing it the same way. Will just have to see.
It was very deceptive, it claimed he admitted, but he never did.
All that happened is he failed to, or refused to reply.

I submit that Berg made the statement that Obama and the DNC had "admitted" to the allegations in his lawsuit.
The truth of whether Obama and the DNC actually "admitted" anything is another story altogether.
But I also raised the question (posted in part down the page below) that if Berg's assertion that Obama and the DNC "admitted" to the allegations of the legal suit that he filed against Obama and the DNC were untrue, Obama and the DNC could sue Berg for libel/slander. In fact Berg would appear to have a reasonably large audience on his website, so the defamation of the "good name" of Obama and the DNC had been injured due to Berg's alleged false accusations. But it would appear that there is no counter-suit. I find that conspicuous.
