Watch Powell tell Tom Brokaw (both are CFR members) that the new president will have to deal with a crisis on Jan. 21 or 22, which I believe is one or two days after the president is sworn in:

Brokaw didn't ask Powell how he could pinpoint the dates a crisis is going to occur. I would have immediately asked that question. So would you. But apparently Brokaw wasn't even surprised. These people must laugh at us "little people" behind closed doors all the time.
What crisis will it be? I suppose there are many possibilities. Perhaps it will be "terrorist" related.
What I do know is that one day after FDR was sworn into office, he closed the nation's banks and halted all financial transactions for four days:

Also, a few weeks after FDR closed the banks, he announced the confiscation of all privately held gold. I personally doubt that will happen this time, but who knows.
Will the next president (Obama?) also close our banks and halt all financial transactions? Will he go further and announce a new currency called the Amero to replace the U.S. dollar?

Some predictions have been that the U.S. government will be financially insolvent, unable to pay many bills, by February or March of 2009. I've read that many times over the past 6 months or so.
Maybe that is a certainty to happen and Biden/Powell are trying to preface it as being a "generated" crisis...

I got a different tone of meaning about this subject ..I believe he was talking in a general sense of being new to the World....HE said we have the finances & capability to make war ..That AFgan & Pakistan are to be dealt with on a timely basis...What scared me was the same inference of helping the poor throughout the world ...SPREAD the wealth around ...He certainly sees a different picture, from me, of what we reap by helping the poor around the world.... I believe, if we help those who hate us they become our potential enemies.....WE enlighten them to become like us, who can decent....What is the alternative ???..So ,he & OBAMA are on a mission to give our wealth away ...SIMPLE

dont get me wrong- I think they have all kinds of disasters up their sleeves- but as far as the Powell interview - i understood his statement to mean generically "will the person who wakes up in the whitehouse the morning after the election be prepared for what is in store?" in general terms. I didnt at all take it to mean that there is some sinister event scheduled for that day- but just spoken to illustrate the point that these days events move so fast- you cant predict what life in the US will be like by jan 21st/22nd and he feels Obama will be best suited to deal with whatever comes his way at that time. (I disagree with Powell on that) but i dont see any veiled warnings of doom in that passing statement.

Hear me out. Every four years if a new president is sworn in we will see a flag event. Shock the sheep back into sleep. I think this president will stay for another 8 due to the fact it takes time for the power that be to make up a good lie to scare the plebs with.
