Why we love Daily Paul

Recently there have been those who get frustrated with all of the discussions that go on here on numerous subjects that some feel are "off topic". But I think this site has just been a god-send as part of our education in Liberty.

Not ONLY are we all exposed to so much information every day about topics from all over the world, but these discussions help us to learn HOW to hold discussions. HOW to organize our thoughts. HOW to THINK about another person's point of view, and come up with our own arguments.... and then keep pushing ourselves to the limit of our thoughts to continue discussions.

We learn that we can agree to disagree on issues that are peripheral to true liberty. AND we strengthen our CORE beliefs and build better and better understanding and arguments which we can use in our education of others.

How many places can we go to find so many people to THINK WITH. And if we get into arguments on one issue, we end up agreeing on others. This is how real life works. EVEN Dr. Paul will espouse ideas in some areas that we might have a problem with. But it is his CORE beliefs that unite us. And we are eager students who must learn how to work out our ideas and solidify them.... AND how to accept and get along with new people who may come from different spectrums, but also have the freedom core.

Just want to thank Michael for keeping such a wonderful site going. We are the future, and this site is honing our skills to teach others as well as our children and grandchildren.

I love the daily paul and even look forward to reading the many posting message's.
By reading the vaious postings I discovred many web sites and videos that I may have not found in any other way for months or years.
Thank you people that have posted web site addresses, and video's on the daily paul.
I may not like them all but it is better to have too many than not enough.
The daily paul is the web page I visit almost every day even if I only have time to go to one web site.

Liberty is our campaigns gift to the world it is our manifest destiny.
Freedom is a movement who's time has come. Our campaign will lead to world wide freedom.

Freedom to express and exchange ideas

This is a great site because it shows that freedom is the moral glue that holds us together. We don't have to agree on everything but the fact that we do agree that personal freedom and the freedom to prosper without parasitic government / corporate loads being imposed, is a key to the quality of life we enjoy. The rich diversity of opinion / content is a reason to celebrate freedom of speech.

It is great to gather with people who have "awakened" to the fact that our futures are being taken by those who think a new world order, one that they define and control, should be our chartered course. I'm sure many of us are sometimes ostracized as a "conspiracy nut" or "eccentric contrarians." It's nice to be able to explore many topics that many others would shun.

The final, but more subtle benefit, is the fact that this "alternative" and "interactive" media is a really refreshing addition to the established talking head editorials.

Thanks Michael!

END the FED before it ENDS US

Amen to that!

I love the DP! We have our probs at times like any family does, but, the people here are intelligent. I have seen threads where in the 1st post there is an implication that if you disagree with the poster you must be a (insert derogatory name here). Later though, through rational discourse led by example, you can see people begin to tone down the name calling, debate you on the issues, and begin leave the name calling behind. As the quality of discourse increases, it gives great hope for our future.

We don't all have to agree on everything. Rather than concentrate on the things that divide us, I believe we should concentrate on the things that bring us all here. I would rather look for the 80% rule of Ronald Reagan where possible, than concentrate on the 20% part we may disagree on.

We all come here from varying walks of life. It is not the implied diversity I celebrate, for the word diversity is misused today and means disunity, but it is the singular sense of purpose, that desire for liberty shared by each individual who comes to the Daily Paul that I celebrate. It is unity. Being united in our goal to see liberty prevail once again at home and abroad is an honorable goal worth the sacrifice. Thank you Mike for keeping it going.

I think it's honing all of our discussion skills

I am assuming that you are stating this with the exception of ..

Anti Obama postings ...

Because Mr. Nystrom has a tendancy to delete these so no one can see them unless you go to every other kook site except this one.

Doesn't that seem odd?

Well said.

And thanks Michael.

I agree one hundred percent...

Thanks for the playground!

Thanks for this post

I agree with you 100%

I have learned more information and dis-information from being here for the last 14 months and I am eternally grateful to the DP'ers, the occasional trolls, the dis-info, agents and everyone else that's ever posted here.

In their own way, each and everyone of them has taught me something.

I miss the old days though here at DP when the majority of posts were educational and inspiring and the only "agenda" being pushed was the message of liberty.

Remember the "Flowers for Leno" thread! I do. I miss those days. Not every idea we ever had was a PERFECT success, but the "ideas" themselves were bullet-proof.

I too want to thank Michael for creating and then keeping this site up and running. For me, it truly is DAILY Paul. :-)
