This is Really Sad

I was watching the World Series game tonight. But what I was really looking at was all the people sitting in the bleechers. There must have been 50,000. All cheering for their team. All paying big bucks to get there in order to cheer for their team
What's so sad is, that it's a big effort to get a thousand or even ten thousand people together to stand up for rights they don't even know the have lost or are losing.
Their country is being stolen right out from under those bleechers they are sitting in and they done have a clue.
How sad is that?

As I observe people going to
As I observe people going to the movies or to the restaurants shopping or the local college football game it all seems so surreal. Even though now a few more are aware something is wrong they still have little or no clue whats about to hit them. When I talk to them about depression and economic melt down most still look at me like I am from mars.
Sometimes I am saddened sometimes I am angry and judgmental of them but I try to remember they don't know any better and we were all there once upon a time. Still doesn't make it any easier or less sad but helps me continue to try and educate.

Those folks in the bleachers are largely representative of Americans--obsessed over trivialities, games, and phony allegiances. The Red Team hates the Blue Team and vice-versa—but neither team's adherents really understand why they cheer for the home team or what differentiates the two teams besides the color of their ballcaps.

It is very sad...
...I had a long discussion with people yesterday who were saying the usual nonsense about great FDR was. I took them back to the War of Northern Aggression, Woodrow Wilson, and FDR to explain how things went wrong. They didn't want to believe that FDRs policies actually prolonged the Great Depression. I converted a lot of them, but it is just so sad that people don't want to think. Then again, ignorance is bliss right? As long as people have their modern gladitorial games to distract them, all is well.

I thought I was the only one. Did you see the pre-game "love fest" narrated by Michael Douglas and McInsane and Obama-rama ding dong? The thesis disgusted me--that through it all--WWI, Great Depression, WWII, etc., etc.,--baseball has been the one thing that has sustained us. Baseball? Can you imagine? Baseball.

I look at all of the people around me and wish they knew as much as I do about what is going on. It is sad! However, I've got RP stickers on my car and they all get a chance to read them and that makes my day! Often I get a honk and a "thumbs-up" from someone in another car and that really gives me a super-charge!

also, i was on the road last week outside of paducah, ky...paducah, you ask? well, it is in kentucky but just a few miles south from illinois, a few more north from tennessee and not too far east of missouri...basically a pretty congested area with a lot of travelers...anyway, i got to thinking, man, there are a lot of people out here on a friday evening, A LOT of people...if this corrupt government ever tried to actually put the screws to us they would have a VERY hard time doing it...that is my hope...that we will rise up, when challenged, i mean physically and literally challenged...i know, i know, we are being challenged now (you and i know that) but when all of these people (hopefully, not sheeple) "wake up" America will come back with a vengeance...that is my prayer...

A relative once insisted I go with them to a NASCAR event
I protested, as I have no interest in auto racing, really, but I finally went.
They announced on the PA that over 200,000 people were in the stands for the race.
TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND PEOPLE. Many had driven from far away states, for a race.
That's more people than have ever voted for a Libertarian or Constitution party presidential candidate either of the last few elections. All in one little place, for one stupid race, that many had paid hundreds of dollars per ticket to see, plus travel expenses.
