Well we already had glowing
Well we already had glowing mice, quite a while ago so I guess this was expected. I dont really like the idea of us messing around with genes like this.
But I have to say that it looks cool. :)

Yes, they've also given us wonderful things like glow-in-the-dark pigs, goat-spider hybrids, human-mouse hybrids, and pig-cow hybrids to name a few.

The things you describe are not done by a eugenicist.
I am was wondering if you go to a doctor when you are sick or do you just pray to god? If this experiment on cats, in the end leads to a cure for certain genetic diseases, would you still be against the experiment on the cat? If so, do you believe that since got created diseases(hypothetically) researchers should not look for a cure and doctors should not treat the diseases? Is your logic that "god" created everything the way it is and should be, therefore humans should not try to change anything? Should doctors allow people to die since "god" made them ill or gave them a disease? "God" has a plan for everything and researchers and doctors are interfering in "god's" plan. Is that correct, JKAP? Just curious about your way of thinking.

I would argue that polluting the Earth with genetically modified organisms in plants, animals and humans could threaten the natural order of eco-systems and lead to the depopulation of the Earth--which is exactly what eugenicists want.

You offer not a scintilla of evidence to support your supposition that this "experiment" was an effort to "cure...certain genetic diseases", so I can only conclude that your hypothetical is not based in reality. And I am still against the "experiment" with the cat.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Reinventing life on planet Earth?? Look up eugenics, follow the link I provided. What you are talking about is not eugenics. Evolutionary research, DNA, and the Human Genome have shown eugenics to be a pseudoscience.
