Homeopathic Veterinarians Attempt to Silence Ron Paul Support

Yesterday, I waited patiently, along with my wife, oldest daughter, and about fifty other Ron Paul supporters outside of the Hancock room at the Holiday Inn, Philadelphia. The “Private Briefing” we were attending, was being held after the Meetup group fundraising event and Dr. Paul was running late. It was clear when Dr. Paul had arrived from the roar that erupted from behind the doors. From outside you could not hear Dr. Paul, but every minute or so came another round of applause and cheers. The Meetup groups were so enthusiastic, a person from The Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy, a group meeting next door to the Hancock room, came out and was down right nasty when asking if they would keep it down. I cannot speak for others that were there, but I know I was thinking, “Are you kidding? That’s Ron Paul in there.” Jonathan Bydlak, Dr, Paul’s fundraising director, put his hands in the air and said to the woman, “He’s a presidential candidate”. This Revolution will not be silenced and it certainly will not be told to “Keep it down”.

As for the “Private Briefing”, there wasn’t anything private about it. There were well over one hundred people in attendance. With a minimum donation of $500 a person to attend, this was just another example of just how much support Dr. Paul has. This was the first time I had the privilege of hearing Dr. Paul speak in person and he was great.

I cannot wait for someone to look at our picture with Dr. Paul, and say “Is that you and the President?”

To all

I have been monitoring the forum from the road today on my phone, but wanted to reply from a full keyboard. Michael, I respect that this is your “house” and applaud you for creating this site. I am taking Dr. Paul's lessons very seriously by sticking to my guns. I think the title does accurately depict the event I personally witnessed. The person was ranting and raving in front of fifty plus people and I felt she reflected poorly on her organization, which just happened to be the AVH. This is what caught my attention.

“I know The Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy is not trying to stop Ron Paul's message.” does not completely contradict the title.
It says “Support” aka clapping and cheering, not Ron Paul’s Message. The “Support” is what she wanted silenced. Another person from the AVH came out a few minutes later and calmly spoke to one of Dr. Paul’s staffers. If the first person had done that we would not be having this discussion.

Tru2cause, your post made my laugh. Thanks. And thank you to everyone else who read my post for what it was.

I will post a link to the pic, once it’s uploaded.

I’m am 37
Registered Independent (right this minute anyway)
Only voted once (Bush, 2004 General Election), and ashamed
Never been to a political rally (Before Saturday)
Never donated to any candidate (Before Ron Paul)
Never post a message in any forum (Before yesterday)
AND
Felt helpless about the problems this country has and is facing (Before hearing Ron Paul)

Thank you, Dr.Paul and all of you.

Let's see the pic..

They say seeing is believing..... what is the link?

Bye !!!!!!

You guys are starting to sound like a bunch of children around here. Thank I'll hang out somewhere else.

Good Grief

If I'm having a meeting and I regularly hear a roar from an adjacent room, I think I'd complain too. That doesn't mean I'm trying to censor anybody's political expression.

You sure you don't write for the Weekly World News?

Holy tabloid title batman.

bad title! :-(

C'mon, listen to Nystrom. He's right about this. We don't need to be misleading in order to have fun.

If it weren't for the factors he mentions, I would have no problem with such a tongue-in-cheek action, but it is true that we are being watched, increasingly, so let's behave ourselves. We can still have fun, we just need to think before we post!

Fun is a side goal; winning the election is the #1 goal. Don't let lesser goals get in the way of #1.

Hey Everyone,
Chill out! We're verging on political correctness here! (yuk!)

Man, people so uptight lately.....

Don't take the title so seriously

I know The Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy is not trying to stop Ron Paul's message. I just thought it was a catchy title.

Michael Nystrom's picture

Your misleading title is not appreciated

You should consider changing it. Yes it is catchy, and also misleading.

Your title says: Homeopathic Veterinarians Attempt to Silence Ron Paul Support. This is the only thing anyone can see from the front page, and it will also be picked up by Google. In the above comment, you state, I know The Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy is not trying to stop Ron Paul's message. This completely contradicts your title.

You then say: "I just thought it was a catchy title." However, it is not true. This reflects very poorly on you, in my opinion. As Ruth notes below, you're wasting the time of people who rightfully expect the title of a piece to have something to do with the content.

It is a nice, appropriate story, but ruined by your choice of title.

We should all take Ron Paul's lessons very seriously. He leads by example. One way in which he leads is that he means what he says, and says what he means.

Veterinarians

I think this would be a terrific oppurtunity to send their HQ some RP flyers.

Vets

Thanks. Maybe the Vets would appreciate a couple of RP slim jims. Just for the fun of it. Our Vet is a pretty funny guy and will get a kick out of this.

Veterinarians for Ron Paul!

Please don't waste my time...

I couldn't imagine why a group of homeopathic veterinarians would want to silence Ron Paul, especially since he's a champion among those who want to preserve their access to alternative medicine, and it turns out I was correct in being skeptical. You're talking about one guy who probably wanted some quiet because his group was struggling to keep a seminar going over the noise. If I were renting a conference room, a loud distubance next door would bother me, too. Please have some compassion for others.

Ron Paul Support = Noise?

WOW?!

I hope

you gave him a slim jim

haha

Great story,

But I will say that those in the natural health field would probably support Ron Paul over most other candidates.

I know for a fact that Dr. Mercola who has a HUGE online newsletter constantly writes articles in approval of Dr. Paul.

Here are many articles he's dedicated to the Good Doctor:

Thanks for the link

Some very good articles...Thanks

They weren't trying to silence the Paul message.

Misleading title you have there. They were trying to conduct their own business and were interrupted. Homeopathic vets would probably love to hear Paul's stance on supplements and living a healthy life....and providing the same for your pets\farm animals I would assume.
