Write-in ballot in MD

Luckily, there is an option to write-in a choice for President here in Maryland. I WILL be writing down Ron Paul. I hope that that at least a million others do the same nationwide.

I'm writing him in too!
Ron Paul and his message is just NOW getting out to the masses. I saw a car in the grocery store parking lot the other day with a brand new Ron Paul bumper sticker. The owner was getting into the car so I swung over and took the liberty to tell him I liked the new bumper sticker. I asked him if he was writing Ron Paul in or voting Baldwin (and gave him a Ron Paul pen and a smile) He said and I quote, "Oh I'm writing him in - it counts here you know! Who's Baldwin?" (write-ins do in fact count in Rhode Island where I live) So that's what I'll be doing. I have to say I like Baldwin a lot too - for obvious reasons - but I really wasn't that impressed with him in the debate with Nader. So I luckily have the option of voting for EXACTLY the guy that has all the qualities that I'm looking for in a President. This is going to be THE BEST ELECTION DAY IN MY LIFE!!!!!
Everyone call your state election boards
So, here is another state (in addition to PA) that does count write-in votes. Why doesn't everyone call their state election boards and see what the rules are for their state? I plan to do a follow-up call to our PA Board and our County Board to hear the write-in counts after the election. However, I understand it takes a few weeks to tally all the write-in votes.
It bothers me that everyone is saying that a write-in vote is a throw-away vote, and now I am learning that is not true. Let's learn the facts, folks!
