Buy Guns and Ammo Now!
Submitted by hawkiye on Tue, 10/28/2008 - 08:49
I have noticed many deals in my local throw away papers and lots of places having sales on Ammo.
With Russian Imports halted 7.62 x 39 will go up so buy now. Even Cabellas has some great prices and sales on ammo where I live. Check you local shops and gun shows stock up now before the rush... ;-)
If you have been wanting to buy some guns but haven't yet do it now while prices are good and before Obama tries to mess with it and reimposes something like and assault weapons ban via EO.

already on it
Needing to buy some more ammo for my other guns. Have plenty for two, but am pretty low for the rest. Most importantly, after you actually do buy guns and ammo, shoot a bit!
I haven't shot in almost a year, not until last weekend. Just couldn't afford to buy and shoot much ammo. So make sure your aim is still on, scopes still sighted in, etc!
If Obama is elected, that means I still have a few months left to save money for my next gun before he can try to do any damage to the 2nd amendment.
Fortunately I got a wake up call just prior to democrats taking control of congress 2 years ago. Figured I better start buying stuff back then just in case.
I heard them say
on the news yesterday that gun and ammo sales were way up. They said the reason was the economy has everyone feeling they may need to protect thier possesions from thieves. Kinda made me chuckle.
Is that the only reason they think everyone is buying guns?
Purchases of firearms and ammunition have risen 8 to 10 percent
Purchases of firearms and ammunition have risen 8 to 10 percent this year, according to state and federal data.

so for every 8-10% of citizens who aquire a firearm by the book
any idea of what they figure the % is of people who buy them and DONT register? (counting inner city folks that would be buying them anyway)

sure buy guns and ammo now
but i sure would not buy ANY guns and ammo from a gun shop, gun show or anywhere else that would require a gun registration!

Be sure to get as many papers filled out as possible that indicate "Citizens are buying weapons."
That is a message that would be good to send, and face it, we are already on some list somewhere. Might as well pick our lists intentionally.
Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.
KBOI Boise reported this morning that
Citizens are buying guns and ammo!
I have debated with myself and others for years whether to get a right to carry permit or not? Apparently the state patrol knows you have RTC by your license plate. (?) Any advice?
They don't from your license
They don't from your license plate but from your DL if they run it. I did not have one for years on principle but went ahead and got one a few years go. I agree you don't need one but I know they got me on file anyway so I got one. It does help with quicker sales and also when they pull you over they seem much nicer since they know you are not a convicted felon. I have been pulled over 4 or five times in the last few years and never got a ticket. In Idaho they can't ask you if your carrying when they pull you over. But they don't need to since they already know you may be.

call me a fool
but I say bs, the Constitution gives me a right to carry and I really don't give a s hit if this country recognizes the Constitution any more or not, I do. Don't know about the license plate thing. I have a real major attitude right now and my course may not be the wise one, but I'm willing to stand up for it, or go down as the course my be, personal choice.
chinkadaro
So far that is the way I have been leaning!
But as Paul4won says--it would send a message that I have one and know how to use it! (Even though that is true now)
i agree...but
being on a list that shows ya "rofl" ed at a senator getting his car spraypainted for voting on the bailout is different than being on a list for owning a firearm. They wont kick down your door specifically and confiscate your sense of humor. Maybe better to take a firearms class & let "gun safety course" instructors report that their enrollments are up 72%. THAT would send a message lol. "...and we know how to use 'em."

I don't know what state you
I don't know what state you live in but ammo is not registered anywhere that I know of. And in most states buying from a gun show or private party requires no paperwork unless you buy from and FFL holder (Federally licensed dealer).
And you'll notice My first part said look in your local throw away papers
However buying from a shop is not always bad like for hunting rifles etc. and sometimes you just can't find what your looking for on the used market. Yeah people are worried about the paper trail and they should be however one just needs to make a decision now as to what they will do if they ever try to confiscate and stop living in fear.
