Not sure if this has been posted so if it has, sorry.

Not that it's a surprise he is trying to get congress to pass this before the end of the week, I just hope congress will wake up and not pass this. If he has nothing to hide then why would he be trying to get out of crimes he swears he hasn't committed?

No, boys and girls...

this is an entirely new effort by Bush to get off the hook for his war crimes.
Congress will most likely go along, as they could be tried as accessories.
However, this won't work if the US goes bankrupt and becomes a second-rate (albiet) nuclear power. I'm sure countries such as Germany and Japan are licking their lips in anticipation of trying the US elite for "crimes against humanity," payback for WWII.

The video linked to was from 2006.

So... while Bush MAY be making waves about additional "pardon" junk... the video linked to is NOT about that, but rather is OVER two years old.

At the very least, you're mislead and misleading people with the video link to the Cafferty rant.

This is so **old** -- its from circa September 2006.

Those who were already awake will remember that this legislation, "the Military Commissions Act of 2006" passed and Bush already signed it into law WAY BACK on October 17, 2006. (And indeed, this thing is SO old that portions of it have already been tested in the courts and declared unconstitutional.)

Note that Cafferty was waxing "poetic" when talking about it "pardoning" Bush -- the legislation said nothing about "pardons" -- but it "effectively" did prevent future prosecution of him or those in his administration (because the bill legalized many things that had previously been categorized as "war crimes" -- and courts do not prosecute people for activities that USED TO BE crimes, once they are legalized).

Well something good will

Well something good will come out of this. If this doesn't pass We can look forward to martial law for sure. I wouldn't be suprised if He hauls ass and lets Obama implement martial law in the future. Oh We are so fucked and the average Obamadon doesn't even know it yet. Atleast it will be imposed under a diplomatic dictator so thats change We can count on.

ever feel like youre living in a cheap cloak and dagger novel?

Seems like the wildest imaginings come true in this generation. Just all too fu*king surreal.

I didn't watch the OP's

I didn't watch the OP's video link, I assumed that it was new news. It actually looks like this is the news from back in January or so.

Very suspicious. Also,

Very suspicious.

Also, didn't Bush already issue a presidential pardon for himself as well as members of his administration? Nearly 6000 diggs for the video when he did that: http://digg.com/politics/President_BUSH_PARDON_s_HIMSELF_aga... - the video has been removed from youtube, though.

seems it's already been

seems it's already been passed, the original video was deleted.

Thanks for sharing

Wow, I did'nt see this, but I am not surprised Bush would do this. Like one poster there wrote, Bush would'nt do this if he was'nt guilty of something.
