As if its not enough that social security is failing, now we have a new proposed government retirement plan for all. Some details below.
Under Ms. Ghilarducci's plan, all workers would receive a $600 annual inflation-adjusted subsidy from the U.S. government but would be required to invest 5% of their pay into a guaranteed retirement account administered by the Social Security Administration. The money in turn would be invested in special government bonds that would pay 3% a year, adjusted for inflation.

I wonder what part about it is guaranteed?
Will they guarantee/promise not to steal from the fund?
Will they guarantee not to tax it via inflation?
Will they guarantee not to mismanage it?
I no longer trust the government to do any of those things. They will steal from it, they will unleash the inflation tax on it and they will most certainly mismanage it. The government is incapable of managing itself, there is not way that it will be able to manage this newly proposed program.

We have an apostate, illegitimate government in Washington, D.C. complete with eunuchs and solons who do not represent the people and are disrespectful of the Constitutional Republic they are meant to uphold. They are the biggest gangsters in the world today, complete with factions, vendettas, crime families, mob hits, massacres, kidnappings, extortion, racketeering, gambling and prostitution rings, drug-running, loan-sharking, theft, larceny, fraud, bribery, money-laundering, witness tampering and intimidation, and mayhem. And I mean that in the literal sense!
They are not worthy of an iota of trust today and I would hope that they would be extricated by We The People for their high crimes. Their criminal schemes such as this proposed New World Order Deal of socialized wealth-reduction will only accelerate the insolvency and degeneracy of the republic.
