Domestic Terrorist?
I came across an arrest warrant on an American citizen living in the U.S. who was arrested and charged with felony "terrorizing":
Cops: Man threatened voter officials over tardy registration card
OCTOBER 8--Angered by a delay in the receipt of his voter registration card, a Louisiana man today threatened election officials, claiming that he urgently needed to cast a ballot to "keep the n*gger out of office," according to police. Wade Williams, 75, was arrested this morning on a felony terrorizing charge after allegedly calling the Registrar of Voters and warning that he would come to the state office and empty his shotgun unless he got his registration card. Using profanity and racial slurs, Williams told a state official "about needing to vote to 'keep the nigger out of office," according to an Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office affidavit, a copy of which you'll find here. Though the document does not name the candidate to which Williams is so violently opposed, it seems likely he was referring to Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. After being arrested at his Monroe home, Williams was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center, where the below mug shot was snapped. En route to the jail, he "continued his 'tirade' about niggers and also stated that he had a shotgun, but had it hidden at his residence,"
I realize that this old man's language is shocking and out of line for today's society. Pushing that aside, my questions for you are:
Does a "felony terrorizing" charge label this man as a terrorist? Does that mean that the law can hold him without bail for an indefinite time period? The arrest warrant just says "terrorizing". With that wording, can this man be sent to gitmo? When did the states begin to allow police officers to label U.S. citizens as terrorists?
When I told my friends I was shocked that the charge was 'terrorizing', they laughed and said that he WAS a terrorist (the same friends who were for the bailout bill because it was necessary to 'save the American economy'). Am I wrong in my thinking? Is this common practice nowadays?
I do apologize for any offense in posting what this man has said. I do not agree with him or his views.

what I want to know
is why we can't charge all the s o b's like Bush, Cheney, Paulson and all the rest of these traitors destroying this country with domestic terrorism. I feel very threatened by the their actions.

I suppose if they really
I suppose if they really wanted to the gov could send him to gitmo and could hold him indefinitely without trial. One of the fine laws passed by our Congress has applies laws that were meant for real terrorists to ALL Americans as well. In addition, the term terrorism was conveniently redefined to mean just about any crime AND do not forget about Habeas Corpus... well, the gov literally forgot about Habeas Corpus when it threw it out the window - no trial and indefinite jail, if they want!
Unlikely to be as bad as it could, but the laws are there to turn it into a nightmare for the prisoner as well as anyone watching it unfold.

"out of line for today's society"
OK, his BEHAVIOR was not acceptable, threatening people. His WORDS are JUST WORDS. "Politically correct" is a euphemism for LIES. We do not have to approve, we do not have to use language we think may be hurtful to those we do not wish to hurt. But for crying out loud, the old man's WORDS did not hurt ANYONE.
"Bin Laden didn't blow up the projects. Tell the truth, nigger." This line is directed at our president, a white man, and the word is completely appropriate in my opinion. It is a word. It conveys a meaning. It ought to be reserved for special circumstances so that it can retain some impact. But it is just a bunch of letters, or noises emitted from the throat.
And I am sorry, again I find an element of amusement here. I would pay to see video of the look on the face of the registrar. I love old people - they know they are on the way out and they have had ENOUGH. They have been lied to their entire life, too, so they may have the facts wrong, but they got balls.
Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.
