Confessions of a Ron Paul Slacker!
I have posted about how I SIT here everyday and shake my head - compared my self to a bobble head before, have said I am a ronpaulaholic yet I sit here today and blame myself.
I donated to the campaign (about $500.00) all that I could, made the journey to Minnesota / 5 people in a mini van from Florida, bought the book, went to a book signing, spoke to people who would listen.
I didn't make phone calls, knock on doors, hold rally's, run newspaper ads, pass out flyers, put up signs, call congress (besides the bail-out), write to the GOP, attend a single republican party meeting, call talk radio stations, call tv shows,
you get the picture - I didn't do all that I could have or even some of what I could have. I am ashamed! But I will not stand idle again! I got in a little late, but it's not over in terms of the big picture.
Who here is willing to admit what they failed to do and pledge to do more next time.
I do stand in awe for those who did so much that eventually brought me into the fold, it is time for us to honor them and join them as we continue to fight.

I dunno man.. I didn't do much of that campaigning myself but what I did do didn't have nearly as much impact as the personal one-on-one engagements with people I know intimately. I'm seeing A LOT of seeds sprouting now with family and friends..
My friends and I did engage strangers whenever we could.. I never got a feeling that it was effective.. I seriously think it has to be more personal - and in your face like the bailout, for example. That alone has made many people start asking me questions and doing research.. one guy - a complete mccain racist type - had said "that Ron Paul guy is smart, I never really paid attention to him".. and another "I never knew the federal reserve was privately owned".. they never listened to me.. so, strangers are even less likely.
Not to get you down - it's great to get a second wind.. it's kinda time to regroup and just ride out this election.. see what happens at this point.
Time to shake it off and move ahead.
I feel your pain. I have had some serious ups and downs on this campaign. This whole thing was a first for me.
I recently went to a C4L meeting and heard a guy compared us to people who learned how to play baseball by reading a book. It's true, we were all Newbs.
Now that we have actually played a couple of innings for real I think we are better equipped to compete.
Now let's get out there and get plugged in locally and crush the Scum Sucking Neo-con Fascists.

Things are not always as they appear There are many forces at work here, and we are at the end of a grand cycle. Everything can change in a instant. Hold true to what you believe in because miricles do happen, they happen every day, so do not lose hope. We are the remnant---what does that mean? We are that tiny fragment of the cloth of the whole that is left to make our dream come true, and it will. It is written in destiny. Watch it unfold.

It will be a miracle. Just the talk of birth certificates has me going.
God does work in mysterious ways and I would venture to say that there has been more prayers going out for our country this year than in any other election in my lifetime.
People, even sheeple on the street are feeling the urgency.

Then I am a bum! I maxed out donations, burnt and freely distributed copies of dvds and that's about it. I was at the first Ron Paul meet-up group Boise Idaho had, but I made it my last, only because I could tell that there was way too many people in one room wanting to wear the jeans of the "family". That and I had a Ron Paul sticker right above my huge 9/11 truth sticker on my car. I could already tell from talking to the first few early people there that we weren't on the same page. At the first meet I handed out freedom to fascism dvds, but I could tell it wasn't going over too well with this crowd so I sat the rest out. Anyhow, I think what you do did thus far is great and I maybe if I wasn't so effing lazy we would have gotten even better than 24% in the primaries here in Idaho. If it's any consolation I am even more ashamed of myself than you are of yourself. You did pretty good.

Perfect, if you like sitting on your ass by the computer then that is great because there is a lot of emailing to be done. What I do is send people video links that pertain to them. Like I go to environmental sites and send a link on Chemtrails. Bankers, I tell them about the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank. etc etc. Just quick and simple people do not have time for long documentary's or over winded emails. Just get to the point and make them think. I have been emailing the UN with anti UN videos because we need to break the beast apart from the inside.

is a lot of money to give to a politician! Granted we all know Dr. No here but that is a big lot! I only bought two bumper stickers from the Ron Paul online store so I only donated what 10 bucks maybe less. I'm cheap then again I don't have a job, I'm a full time student.

Your donation helped motivate the campaign, because without people like you and countless others, Dr Paul could'nt do what he's done for us. I'm in the same boat as you, but I know I could've tried to do more. My job sucks where I'm gone for nearly 12 hours a day and when I get home, I'm just beat. I relax the rest of the night getting my days fill of activities and news right here on DP and searching Google. I believe we all did our own special parts throughout the campaign and I am thankful that Dr Paul is still here, working hard, getting lots of airtime now and spreading his message to the masses. Dr Paul is not done yet and he knows what he's got, and that's us, and all the people running for office, planting his seeds to carry his message forward. We're going to breath some new fresh air into the GOP soon and they know it. The GOP can't stop Ron Paul's rEVOLution !

I am thinking of sending America Freedom to Fascism
to every church leader I can find in the yellow pages and on the internet.
I will start from my home town and work a wider and wider circle.
I feel this is a huge target we need to penetrate. Especially for Chuck Baldwin (re-election?) in 2012.
I wish someone with great writing skills could come up wth a very personal letter, specific to Christian leaders that would tantalize the preacher's into sitting down and viewing the DVD.
Also, including legal guidelines or suggestions regarding the tax exempt status.
Dammit!

I printed out the downloadable flyer from Campaign for Liberty's website and handed out 120 of them tonight. It's easy and it feels good. You can do that, too. You just need to get moving!

Neat experience on Friday.
We had just finished voting absentee for Chuck Baldwin...it felt so good!!
Absentee is so-o-o-o easy.
I was getting out of my car in a parking lot and the lady who parked behind me saw my Ron Paul bumper sticker. She commented, don't you wish Ron Paul was going to be president? Then she went on to say that for the first time in 30 years she and her husband will not be voting.
I said oh,no there is someone you can vote for, his name is Chuck Baldwin with the Constitution Party, he is on the ballots in most states, when he opens his mouth Ron Paul falls out (yes,I stole that one from a fellow DP'r). "Let me get you some info from my car" To which she replied bring extras, I know at least 5 people who feel the same way. I gave her 5 copies of USA Tomorrow (we took a bundle from the C4L rally in MN) and about 20 CB slim jims. I called her a fellow patriot and she said she had goosebumps.
Story #2- I buy pet food at a store where we saw a Ron Paul poster in her office. Ever since then I drop off things to keep her posted and I told her she would get my business because of her RP support. In the meantime her husband had seen my bumper sticker ad commented that he may have to write -in Ron Paul so I had to tell him about CB also.
My bumper sticker seems to be getting more attention now than ever. all oRon Paul's tv slots is probably helping too.
My Chuck Baldwin bumper sticker was flawed ( the "C" was cut off so I did not display it)
Story #3 I constantly "forget" my copies of USA Tomorrow and leave them in doctor's offices, coffee shops, fast food joints, cars, and today with a Good Will employee at the drop off location.
