were from Baldwin when he answered about getting out of NAFTA, etc., right on to the UN. And secondly when he answered the very important question about all third parties rallying behind one candidate and he said, if Ron Paul would rally us all behind one candidate, he would throw his flag behind him. I thought the first question was the most important question about rallying behind one candidate EVEN NOW before it is forever too late. But I think Ron Paul has already rallied behind one candidate and it turns out to be Chuck Baldwin and the other two simply won't do it. McKinney may have just done that very thing, for some reason she was not there.

so why Ron did not actively campaign for Chuck?

Ron Paul did not even help Baldwin get on the ballot in his own state of Texas and now I guess he has to write him in.

Nader is late a lot lately

I see in the last week or so he gets late to rallies but its because the campaign set up so many of them all over the country and sometimes planes are late or traffic troubles...

But that actually put a lot of focus on him.
Everyone knew that without Nader the debates would be lame.

Dr. Paul is trying to maintain his GOP credibility. This will serve us well in the 2012 cycle, and I think he knows that. Let's just hope McCain loses.

Ventura lost my support when

Ventura lost my support when he started going around making it seem like anyone who's opposed to illegal immigration hates/fears brown people.
Either Ventura has to stop saying stupid stuff like that, or Baldwin would need to pair up with someone else. In fact, I don't the two would ever team up, beause Ventura would probably accuse Baldwin of hating/fearing brown people.

I agree with you actually.

But Ventura says a lot of things to raise eyebrows...to get a reaction. One reason I prefer Baldwin--you can say what you want about lack of political experience, but he is a seriously presidential candidate.

They'll both be too old. Regardless of health...there is no point in running a first-time presidential candidate for the office at age 76 plus. This is the almost certainly the last presidential campaign for Nader and Dr. Paul.

There's a time window in which the public will vote for a president. It's essentially "middle age-to-early senior citizen". It's about a 25-year time window, from 43 to 68.

Although a thirty-five year old president is allowable under the Constitution, it's unlikely one will ever be elected; it's perceived as 'too young'. Sixty-something is just fine, but anyone over 70 is going to be considered 'elderly' for the office, the way John McCain is now.

Ronald Reagan, the butt of many 'old man' jokes, was still 69 years old at the time of his inauguration. If McCain is elected, he'll be the oldest first term president ever elected, and it's very unlikely he'll serve two terms.

Ventura and Baldwin will be the right age bracket in 2012. Ron Paul and Ralph Nader will not be.

Of course, I'd bet money Dr. Paul could never be persuaded to run again, anyway.
