I hope he doesn't see fit to do the same thing to Ron Paul! As we all know, along with the surge in his popularity come more political attacks. Of course, I think we all know that any of Ron Paul's critics would be hard-pressed to come up with something legitimate to bash him on :-) He is the most principled man in the race by far ....

I did notice that on Meet the Press, Huckabee, when asked about his foreign policy expertise, gave a canned answer that did nothing to show off his expertise.
Ron Paul always responds to questions directly, and the more you ask him questions, the more sense he makes. The others are superficial or downright scary.

Sometimes, posting "negative" things is not bashing or being negative, but exposing evil and informing others.
I don't think this post really qualifies as rejoicing at another's downfall. The video contains Huckabee's own words. And to the poster who says this may be taken out of context -- in statements such as this, it is hard to imagine any context in which such statements would gain merit. Huckabee comes across exactly as his reputation has gone before him -- as "tax hike Mike."
Huck is at heart a socialist, who believes he can accomplish good things through taking money from some and spending it on others, all by the power of government, of course, with himself -- the ever benevolent -- at the helm of that government. Any person who has discernment should be able to see this. And it disqualifies him from being a person who even understands the concept of limited government and liberty, much less being able to uphold any oath made to the constitution.
I will cheer
Not because I dislike Huckabee, but because I think it's a lesson for all of us, you can't escape your past. And it'll eliminate one person from the race, and they can't do the same for us without lying. Any standards they hold on us, will look MUCH MUCH WORSE on Giuliani and Romney, or Thompson and McCain

perhaps it is taken out of context? In a free society, information is vast and complete. When informed and unbiased, Americans usually make good decisions. We must strive for truth. Huckabee does a fine job of discrediting both his sincerity and his conservatism on his own and in context. Ron Paul tells the truth humbly with sincerity. Tell a neighbor about THE Hope for America! I'm always concerned when I see something isolated from it's original context.
Wow! What we see in this limited context looks a whole lot like someone encouraging, welcoming, and yes...begging for an increase in taxes.
You almost expect to hear him say, "And if you want to tax the children everytime they drink water from the fountain at school, I'll support that, too."

I saw someone mention that video in the comments in another post here. It's amazing that such a video took so long to get out there.
It's pretty much what many people having been saying about him. A video like that is worth 1000 blog posts saying the same thing.
