"This election is too important"
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – It's lunchtime, and Mary Goode is leaning toward voting for Republican John McCain. By dinner, she admits she might be for Democrat Barack Obama.
But there's no chance that on Election Day she will be for any candidate from a third party.
"This election is too important," said Goode, a 43-year-old accountant from Charlotte. "That would just be like throwing my vote away. I'm not going to do that."
I wish I could post something profound....you know lady, if you can't make up your mind between lunch and dinner about how to vote...I contend there's no difference between the two.
Deep down you know, we're so totally screwed. The scary part is you are considered an informed voter. Oh it's such a tough choice...you know what, if you can't make up your mind what difference does it make. After the election you're a winner, you can proudly proclaim "my lunch time choice won" or "my dinner time choice won"....whichever the case may be. OH THE HUMANITY...

How about a mandatory IQ test...
...before people are allowed to vote. It would require a change in the constitution, but it might work. I'd set the bar way above 100.
Too stupid? Sorry, no vote ;-)

Thought about that
An IQ test. Problem is there's alot of intelligent people out there voting for the state. Maybe some basic civics test would help. Something non-partisan concerning the 3 branches of Government, the Constitution and such. HaHa Fat chance, it's a struggle to get ID requirements in place for voters much less any type of test. Hell, it's a stuggle to get the candidates to produce documents concerning citizenship. Looks like the whole system is going to be sucked right down the rabbit hole.
Pain, that will be the only thing to bring about change. I think change is on the way. How much change? Alot, problem is it could go in two different directions. We'll keep fighting for liberty, as long as THEY allow!
