Circuit City Doomed

Circuit City is going under. The management informed it's employees that they will be closing 155 stores. Sony is no longer shipping any products to CC, and the NYSE will de-list them if they do not at raise their stock to above $1.00. It is currently .26. Employees are very pissed off, they plan on liquidating the inventory within 30 days. Circuit City screws it's employees again! It isn't a surprise, the upper management blows. I expect the rest of the company will go under in early 2009, after they are raped by the slow holiday season.
Don't RIP CC, you have no respect for your employees.

I've bought 4 items from CC in the past few years, though nothing in '08. To the credit of the employees and the company, the service was prompt, accurate and shipping fast. Too bad. I'm not going to do business with them when they're in this situation.
Poorly managed companies will fail
and yes, it is just getting started. Good companies will gain market share during this period.
What happens
To the people that have circuit city credit cards? I just put a laptop on mine.

I thought it was a little fishy that they approved me for 8000.00 credit limit. I didn't abuse it and only buy stuff that I can pay off with no interest in a set time. However, I realize that credit cards are easily abused and it makes me wonder how many people out there maxed out 8 grand worth of debt on a circuit city card and never paid for their shit. No wonder they are going under. It makes me sad though cause I hate the shit out of Best Buy. Circuit City is a much better store. If only They had a FRY's electronics here in Idaho. =(

I wouldn't take Circuit City as a trend.
They've been in trouble for a long time, even when their competitors were doing just fine. Circuit City has some basic management problems which show up as poor customer service.
