A 3rd party vote is a vote for Obama

0 votes

That's what an old classmate from Florida was telling me.

To make a long story short: I asked her if she was Cuban, she said yes....so I asked her if she would rather vote for Fidel or Raul for president......she took a long time to answer that one and finally answered "I see your point, NEITHER!"

Just then the baby started crying and she had to leave.

Fellow patriots, please leave your comments as to why she should vote 3rd party instead of choosing between NoBama and McSame, I will send her this link so she can see your responses.

The lesser of two evils is still evil.

Voting your conscience for someone you believe in feels good -

It does do more than just help elect one of the two "major" party candidates - If a third party gets more than 5% of the vote in a state , they get automatic ballot access in 2012 - this year the 3rd parties spent months of time and most of their money just getting on the ballot - im hoping all of them break the 5% mark this time around and they really shake things up in 4 years.

Also, It injects (through fear) new ideas or a return to the roots of a party, when a 3rd party does well - When Bush the elder lost to Clinton, it was because he had gone against his word on taxes, and on gun control, losing the support of economic conservates and gun owners to Perot - You had the GOP attempt to return to its roots (for a short while) with the "Contract to America" and a democratic president Clinton saying "The era of big government is over"

Even though Perot lost - his ideas won. Most people just seem to have forgotten them today, and the parties need another reminder.

I have idiot acquaintances

that tell me the same thing. As if I would have voted for McIdiot instead of Nader. My 3rd party vote for Nader is a vote taken away from Barr, who was my first inclination, until he turned out to be a pompous ass.

Colchester, New London County, Connecticut

The "winner" will quote a number for 4 years

They will say how many people "supported" them with their vote. I will not allow them to number me among their "supporters."

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

When I get into conversations like that now,

I feel like crying and want to leave! It is SO SAD that americans on the whole can see the corruption and ruination of our country but are not willing to stand up against it by voting the crooks out, along with their crooked duopoly and vote for the constitution by voting 3rd party. UGH!

1st General Law of Basic Economics:

"If you reward something, you get more of it."
If we reward a political party with our votes, we'll get more candidates like the last one -- "You voted for us, you must like what we're doing."

If you like McCain (Obama, or Barr) and want to see more candidates just like him from your preferred party, then vote for McCain (Obama, or Barr) and don't excuse yourself.

If you like that the Constitution Party told the Christo-fascist Republican prostitute Alan Keyes to go piss up a rope, then vote for Chuck Baldwin.

See how simple that is?

A vote for O'Cain is a vote for McBama. A vote for more crap is a vote for more crap.

Not true

Obama isn't a third party candidate. And it's all rigged anyway. Might as well vote for what's right and sleep at night. A third party vote is a message to the powers that be, we don't want your puppets.

When I cast my vote for Ron Paul...

... I'll be able to sleep at night knowing that I voted against the man who hammered the last nail into the coffin of America.

Have you seen Chuck Baldwin's "A Wasted Vote"?

His argument gains strength for conservatives who agree that Obama has this wrapped up.

An excerpt:

Barack Obama is headed for an electoral landslide victory over John McCain. John McCain can no more beat Barack Obama than Bob Dole could beat Bill Clinton.

I ask, therefore, Are not conservatives and Christians who vote for John McCain guilty of the same thing that they accuse people who vote for third party candidates of doing? Are they not voting for someone who cannot win? Indeed, they are. In fact, conservatives and Christians who vote for John McCain are not only voting for a man who cannot win, they are voting for a man who does not share their own beliefs and principles. If this is not insanity, nothing is!

So, why not (for once in your life, perhaps) cast a vote purely for principle! ... etc. etc.

Given that, in the primaries...

Obama and Hillary received a total of almost 40,000,000 votes and McCain received less than 10,000,000, how could a vote for McCain be anything but a wasted vote?

Vote your conscience. You'll never regret it.

Also have them watch my YouTube video, "Miracle." It's only a minute long. It's on the answerman3120 channel.

This election

I'd say "I'm not voting for any blood relatives to Bush or Cheney this election and that leaves Obama and McCain out".

WE ARE GOING TO WIN!

Vote for the best candidate

No matter what party they are in, vote for your favorite candidate. When you trade your vote for the lesser of 2 evils because you are 'scared' the more evil candidate will win, then you are trading freedom for security. Don't let fear run your political decisions. That's how we got into the war we are in, how the patriot act was passed, and how gitmo was set up. Be the brave American who stands up to tyranny and stands up to the globalists. It's hard now to be the patriot because of fear of the unknown. Both Rs and Ds attack each other so that we will be too scared not to vote for them because the other candidate is 'bad.. evil.. and will destroy the nation'. The truth is that they are the same.. both elitists who voted for the bailout bill.. who are for one world government. They both will extend the war, leave the patriot act in place, and carry on with business as usual for the rich. Although we may not win this election, we will show our growing force.

Why Not Just Say

a vote for Nader and McKinney will take away Democrat votes
and votes for Baldwin and Barr will take away Republican votes

Come On - do we have to go over this again and again .....

who said - You can choose 75% to die of leathel injection or 20% to die in
electric chair or you can choose to be in 5% to be set free!

Freedom sounds like the right choice - always!

(ALSO - if you have children - teens or early twenties ... you should be very concerned - both Obomba and McWar - are capable of bringing back
the draft)

Vote Third Party!

Actually I have seen Edward Griffin say that.

it was

Not only capable ............

but it will happen. I, for one, think that is one of the "unpopular things Barak will do" that Joe the running mate was talking about.

Voting for the lesser evil

Voting for the lesser evil is still voting for evil. Vote on principle with the candidate who truly deserves the support, not the candidate who they try to scare us into voting for or against.

If any of the third parties get enough votes I believe that will qualify them for federal funds during the next election cycle.

...

Conscience

Just like Fidel and Raul would each screw you in a different way, so it goes with these two clowns the party elite have offered us. If a person HONESTLY believes in one of these two, that's how that person ought to vote. However, if that person cannot in good conscience vote for either, or if s/he desires to make a statement of "no confidence" in either the two options offered or the two-party system in general, then s/he should vote for the candidate - whichever candidate - who best represents a principled vote in clear conscience.

Stand on principle and do not worry about from whom you may be "taking" a vote or to whom you may be "giving" one - you gave your vote to the candidate who best represented YOU, and that is what democratic voting is about.

And remember, a vote for someone is interpreted as an endorsement of that person's policies and his party's platform - are you ready to endorse McCain to hopefully avoid Obama? Wouldn't it be better to endorse that person for whom you can vote in clear conscience?

uhhh don't be a sellout?

vote with your heart
soul
and mind

base it on principle.

you have to live with yourself.

if you sellout you should not vote period.

if anyone had any brains or balls besides us we would have a change for the better... not the worse which looks like what we are gonna get.

The most

compelling arguement I could make would be that a vote for a Third Party candidate forces the two party system to look at itself. If say 16 million people vote for a Constitution Party candidate they (the Rep. and Dem.) must address what issues did the Third Party address that they did not and why they lost 16 million votes.Secondly it provides a creedence to the Third Party platform.Take for instance the Libertarian Party,it wasn't that many years that they were a small blip on the screen. Now they have a bonafide candidate for President, and have representatives in almost every phase of Government. If that doesn't convince her, tell her from it's inception the United States was never meant to be a two party political system. The first were Federalist, then Whigs, the Republican Party did not come into being until 1854, and the now Democratic Party 1828 when it split with the Democratic Republican Party. If that don't convince go for a soda.

Thank you !...I'll be telling my friends who have been pushing
