Why Paul is the only candidate who can beat Hillary. Project Code: NOHILL

0 votes

A LOT of people are supporting the "top" 3-4 candidates because they want someone who can beat Hillary. Paul has mentioned a couple of times that he'd have a strong case against her, but hasn't hit home enough that he has a REALLY strong case for beating her.

I think we should try to raise this issue to signal the campaign to talk about it more... or simply get the media's attention so they talk about it more and help us get the anti-Hillary vote.

In 2006, the Republicans lost because they became big spending war mongers. Right now, the top contenders all fit the mold of the people who got kicked out of office. It'd be insanity to make a Bush Jr. JUNIOR our Republican nominee for '08.

Paul says the peace candidate always wins. Hillary will be the peace candidate against any of the Republicans... EXCEPT Paul.

Because of that Paul will steal a significant portion of the Democratic base while holding the social conservatives... something no other Republican can say.

How can we promote this? A video? One possible way to get the ball rolling might be to make our own "project code" for donations. If you make a donation, consider entering "NOHILL" in the Project Code field. (No Hillary) That could become a talking point in Paul's television appearances.

What do you guys think?

Oh the poor soul that has to listen to hours of listening to Hillary speak, blegh!

The person who makes an Anti Hillary/Pro Ron Paul video must be a real patriot!!!

Now listen here..

I can't wait for the Hillary-Ron Paul debate. I can hear it now:

"Now listen here young lady..."

:)

Dirt on Hillary

Here's the story from a college student who was asked by the Hillary campaign to pose a particular question during a public discussion.

I'm trying to come up with the right way to do it

I got a message on youtube about this. I post as aweirdpoet over thetsre and have made a few videos that caught on. The big problem is that negative videos are really tough to do and most people blow them off right away. I have been collecting and editing Hillary clips, but can't come up with a catch way to do it. People don't go looking for negative clips so it has to be short and viral. I have the night off and will try to put something together.

Everytime I have come here for feedback on a video that didn't work, I get good thoughts. Here is the negative vid I did on Mitt, any thoughts on how I can make this one a bit better?

I'd keep it positive...

Instead of making it an anti-Hillary video, I'd highlight Ron Paul's strengths on the 3 biggest issues of the 2008 election... and have quick blurbs of Hillary throughout the video.

For example, if you had a clip of Hillary saying health care is the biggest issue facing this country, show her saying that. Then show a clip of Ron Paul working as a doctor, speaking about health care, etc.

I like that exchange in the video "When in the course of human events" where Hillary says the "Republicans all support the war" that is immediately followed by Paul warning against the war. I think things like that'd be a great strategy.

So my suggestion would be to stay away from a Hillary hit piece.

I just remembered why this video got stalled

No human should be subjected to several hours straight of listening to Hillary speeches. I wish I could find clips in less painful way like waterboarding.

Your Mitt Romney Vid

While I don't usually endorse negative messages (I much prefer positive ones), your video on Mitt Romney is EXCELLENT! You did a LOT of research to find all that information, and you put it together in an entertaining way.

I look forward to other political videos from you - negative and positive! (Do you plan to do any for Ron Paul?)

Umm yeah I did a few

7 so far to be exact. Most popular is "Ron Paul Speaks for me" I just got 3rd in Treg's contest with "Ron Paul on Iraq: Do Unto Others"

I think they are worth a view

Hillary and Bush's FEMA/Press Briefings

What's the difference?
Compare Hillary's plants to the FEMA CA "press conference" and White House Press Briefings that included Jeff Gannon. Elect Hill and it will be business as usual.

Let's all say this together and repeat and repeat and repeat...

"Like it or not, Ron Paul has the best chance against Hillary."

"What would you prefer? A guy whom you disagree with on just one issue, or whom you disagree with with EVERY issue?"

REPEAT AND REPEAT AND REPEAT AND REPEAT AND REPEAT AND REPEAT AND REPEAT AND REPEAT AND REPEAT AND REPEAT AND REPEAT AND REPEAT AND REPEAT AND REPEAT AND REPEAT AND REPEAT AND REPEAT AND REPEAT AND REPEAT AND REPEAT AND

We need to...

If we leave comments about Ron Paul after an article, I think we need to really start pushing this idea (he is the only one that can beat Hillary). There are five great points lower down in this post that detail why it is true.

I'd say develop your own three or four points and leave them instead of the usually Dr. Paul "defender of the Constitution"

We need to say it over and over again (because it is true).

The Evil Ice Wtich

I will do that when I donate on the 16th.

An article from today says it all...

"Abby Rand, 49, a bed-and-breakfast proprietor in Hopkinton, liked Romney's proposal for an audit of government agencies to eliminate inefficiency. "I'm not committed, but I was impressed," she says. "My kids are both Ron Paul fans, so I've been investigating him."

She's not sure Paul could beat Clinton, and that's crucial, she says. "I'm not voting for a dead fish."

The Big 3 (or 4)

I think the big 3 issues of the campaign will be Iraq, health care and the economy. There are certainly enough clips of Paul and Hill on Iraq. It'd be good to collect some clips talking about Ron Paul as a doctor, I know some of those are around.

And there are a ton of good clips on the economy. Some are even endorsements. And lately, there have been a lot of people on TV saying they like Paul. A collage of endorsements would be great.

Just throwing some ideas out there.

The 4th issues could be illegal immigration. That'd help for Republicans, and Paul shines again.

Lets get that vid out

Great idea to get the Repubs on board with Paul. Has anyone taken the task of making the video? If not, maybe eLiberty could (creator of A New Hope). I'll send an email.

Excelent idea

The Republican primary voters need to hear this over and over again, And it's true "Ron Paul is the ONLY Republican that can beat Hillary". I love the video idea!

Great!

I sent out a couple of emails to YouTubers asking them to consider this idea. Hopefully, it gains some momentum and people who search for either Hillary or Paul on YouTube will see it...and everyone else who considers whether Paul can defeat Clinton.

Integrity vs Whatever...it should be a no-brainer.

I was a lifelong democratic voter until I changed my registration a month ago to vote for Ron Paul in the primary election. Ending the occupation in Iraq is a very big deal for me, so much so that I enthusiastically changed my party affiliation, and I have investigated the Republican platform enough to respect it. Big government is so out of control (evil) that even a democrat can see through it.

I agree that Ron Paul can not only beat Hiliary but that he can also steal a significant portion of the Democratic base. Does any other Republican candidate come even close to that? Not hardly. The Republican party would be wise to consider this fact.

The sad part is....

that the GOP heads do know this and is why they don't want Ron Paul. It would severely curtail their extreme corruption. They'd rather have a Democrat than someone honest. This is what this country has come to. I believe they are attempting to brainwash the masses of Repub's to think that he has no chance against the Dem's. It is our job to de-brainwash. Drawing from every Party and and massive amounts of Independents, Ron would crush anyone in his way in the general.

I agree

The GOP would rather shoot themselves in the foot in order to continue the Bush, Clintion, Bush, Clinton dynasty. After all didn't GWB refer to Bill as his new brother.

So electing Hillary would keep it "All in the Family." The Republican/Democratic Family...two wings of the same bird.

Yes and if you include VP time

for Bush the elder, then you get Bush, Bush, Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush, Bush - that's already 28 years of two families at or near the Oval Office. Wasn't it Jenna Bush who said she most admired Chelsea? And we make fun of England for their royal families.

It's madness

You would think that with the smallest seed of intelligence, a fruitful tree of outrage would grow in the American public.

It's madness, pure and simple.

Excellent !!

I completely agree that Paul is the true peace candidate and the point cannot be over-emphasized. Especially in view of the donations received: Hilary wins with the military contractors and Ron Paul wins with the troops on the ground.

Ron CAN win the general election

I agree completely. Winning the Republican primary is THE most important thing right now. With that said, in order for Ron Paul to do well in the Republican primary, people have to understand that he WILL beat Hillary Clinton in a general election.

I had this conversation with a Hillary supporter today. He saw the Ron Paul sticker on my truck and told me I needed to get about 25 million more people to vote for Ron Paul because he believed that Hillary would beat Ron Paul in the general election.

I told this gentleman that if he wanted Hillary to be president he better pray that Ron did not get the nomination. I then proceeded to tell him HOW Ron Paul would not only beat Hillary in the general election, but would completely walk all over her. These are all points that I know you are aware of, but my friend needed to be educated.

1.) Ron Paul is left of Hillary on the war. She will not commit to bring the troops home. She will not commit to having dialog with Iran to ward off conflict. She has 0 foreign policy experience, unless you count what Bill did. I do not. She voted FOR the Iraq war and will not admit that vote was a mistake. Ron Paul's position on this resonates with 70% of the American people.

2.) Ron Paul is right of Hillary on spending, the budget, and the economy. Hillary is completely out-classed in this category. As we all know our wonderful Congressman does not vote to raise his pay, does not take the pension plan, does not vote for unbalanced budgets, is infinitely better in his understanding of economics and he marketplace, does not want to raise taxes, and has a 10 term congressional voting record to back that up.

3.) Hillary will attempt to run on socialized medicine. Ron Paul is a doctor and will be able to sucessfully rebut any argument she makes on this issue through personal first-hand knowledge of the sytem, its flaws, and what is needed to fix it.

4.) Our candidate Ron Paul has taken a consistant position on illegal immigration that is not only "block the border" but also addresses the socio-economic reasons we have illegal immigration in the first place. Hillary can't even say whether or not she supports driver's licenses for illegal immigrants.

5.) Hillary Clinton has been up to her eyeballs in scandals throughout her career. Big stuff, not just little stuff. Our candidate Ron Paul is as pure as the driven snow in his personal life and in his voting record. He's got integrity, honesty, great work ethic, and principles. And we have the records to prove it.

I hope you can include some of these ideas in your videos. I agree that we need to show the world how Ron Paul can beat Hillary in the general election.

By the way. These same positions work for Barack Obama as well. The only difference is that Barack said he would actually talk to Iran. Good idea, but he comes up short.

I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.
Thomas Jefferson, 1791

Absolutely

The two biggest issues will be Health Care, Iraq, and the economy. Ron Paul can mop up on all 3.

That Boston Poll shows what I mean

Only 3% believe he can beat Hillary, even though I think it's reasonable to believe he's the only one. Don't we need to tell people this?

Anybody with editing skills interested in putting this together?

I'd put in some cash to anyone with skills who put a Paul vs. Hillary debate together.

Incredible idea

Perhaps, a Ron Paul vs. Hillary Youtube debate competition where users create their own videos and the DailyPaul readers vote on the best one. Winner gets $100 in Ron Paul Silver Dollars.

Here's a YouTuber

Here's a YouTuber who has conducted a contest, and he has another in progress. I'll send him a message, and perhaps you can, too.

Certainly, there must be other YouTube artists/editors who will like this idea and get onboard.

Let's petition our YouTube Ron Paul supporters!
