Volunteer at voting house laughed her butt off when I said I'm voting for Baldwin

0 votes

I went and threw my vote to Chuck Baldwin and voted against the incumbent Lamar Alexander in the Senate. It felt good to vote as usual, but I know my votes won't count for anything. At the voting house, I spoke with a man and his ten year-old son. I said, "voting is exciting", and I asked him if he was excited about this election year. He said he was nervous. I said, "Yeah, me too, but I'm nervous about both candidates and I feel like we aren't given a choice this election season." He gave me a look like he agreed, but still I wonder who he is voting for and why he feels like that person is the right choice.

I wonder if I made an impact on the volunteer lady when I told her I was voting for Baldwin. She laughed her butt off and gave me a huge, 'your a nut' look as I was leaving. I wonder if she will ever take a second look into Baldwin or any other third-party candidate. Now I am wondering, does it matter?

Good job!

I voted for Chuck this morning too.... as hard as it was to NOT write in our good Doctor... it felt good to do what the Doctor ordered

Regardless you should have said to her, Yeah I find the whole dichotomy of the left vs right fallacy something to laugh at as well.

Then smiled and walked off shaking my head.

Hey McCain-----┌П┐(◣_◢)┌П┐

Your vote will count

People on this forum say Dr. Paul "lost" and many have returned to the 'comfort' of one of the two parties. Folks thought Dr. Paul was a shoo-in for the nomination and left the movement in droves during the primary season. It is those of us that have stuck together, with his leadership, to form the Campaign for Liberty that have claimed a victory.

We have put Dr. Paul in the position that the MSM cannot ignore him and he has done well in his role because he has predicted the very things that we are now seeing. He lends great credibility to the CFL and the movement as a whole which is only STARTING to manifest itself within our movement.

Somewhere I read that 30% are voting third party which it will be interesting to see if the poll numbers and MSM report that. Chuck Baldwin is the closest thing to Dr. Paul that voters in Texas have to pick from on the write-in slate and I am proud to have supported him, since I could not support our guy. Think about it, if the 30% number is correct, and the remaining 70% are as evenly split as the "polls" are reporting, then the majority which will elect a new Prez is roughly 36%. WHOEVER is elected will, therefore, go in with somewhere around 64% AGAINST him. Would you want that job?

Our job for the next few years is to "hold these folks feet to the fire" and make sure that we do not regress further. Two steps forward one back perhaps but still a net gain. Beats the crap out of the wild fall backwards that we have seen the last years!

You done good picking the candidate that you did and we will eventually prevail. Get more involved in your local politics and talk some sense into some folks. Remember 64% are against whoever we get so it will be an easy sell.

I found this vid on YouTube that might be helpful. I really enjoyed it (as I always do hearing the truth)!

Enjoy.

What poll is that?

I really don't see 30% voting 3rd Party - the sheep outnumber thinking people by about 20-1 I'd say.

There is a great deal of inertia

People are so used to the two party system, it becomes part of who they are. Voting outside the two parties is like saying you are an outsider, or you don't like Hot dogs and apple pie - you are an outsider, you are different.

Of course, first they laugh . . .

I hate to tell you this, but...

...you just voted "Present".

Support 3rd party lesser candidates! Vote "lesser damage-potential" presidential candidates!! That's what I did.

And just how do you define lesser damage ?

I'm really curious.

Lesser damage (McCain)

1) Someone not promoting the FOCA
2) Someone who does not flip flop on just about everything
3) Someone who does not want to bankrupt the coal industry
4) Someone who is not a communist
5) Someone not endorsed by Castro, Amudinejad, Chavez, etc.
6) Someone who will not throw anyone under the bus that gets in his way
7) Someone who is not all about dividing this country into black and white--a race-baiter
8) Someone we know about, not someone who has blocked all kinds of info about his background and about whether he's even eligible to be President.
9) Someone who is not a sexist
10) Someone who did not attend a racist "church" for 20 years
11) Someone without a Messiah complex
12) Someone with a minimum of questionable friends and mentors
13) Someone willing to drill for oil in Alaska
14) Someone who will stand up to the democrats in Congress, but be willing to "reach across the aisle"

There are many other points I could list, but you get the idea.

And yes, I know all about McCain.

I hate to tell you this, but...

...both halves of the War Party turd sandwich taste like crap.

The Patriot movement is just

The Patriot movement is just beginning. Hold the course and congrats on your vote. I look forward to voting for Bob Barr and independent attorney general candidate Robert Owens today in Ohio.

Though you may vote alone, you may take the sweet satisfaction when everyone is bitching about whomever wins - Nobama and McRage - that you never sacrificed your principle.
