Principled non-voting.

If you had told me 2 months ago that I would not be voting I would have laughed hysterically.

However, I realized something in the past two months. I cannot work within a system to dismantle that very system.

My own political agenda might be the removal of the possibility of political agendas...but it is still a political agenda. Therein lied the last contradiction in my thinking.

I realized that government, no matter who is in the drivers seat, cannot bring about the profound shift in ideas and philosophy that is required for real change. This has to start with the individual. It has to start with us spreading the message.

People need to realize that government does not and has never brough us peace and prosperity, but the opposite. They need to realize that the responsibility lies with them, not the President or the Congress.

I do not regret sinking hours upon hours and hundreds of my dollars into Paul's campaign for that reason. However, I am only fooling myself in saying that if "someone else," even if that someone was Paul, was in charge there could be real dramatic change.

I'm with you

after much mental wrestling I can not vote for anything. Spiritually for me it is wrong to recognize or participate in anything so profoundly evil. I agree with the the individual change aspect and that is where I will put my energy. My only question is how can you make people want to be free instead of slaves. As a slave everything is provided for you, as a free man you take responsibility for your own life.

it will only be truly possible

when the economy implodes under the weight of providing things for people who are not deserving of them.

No comparison

We have only a bitched up system with which to make a comparison..If AMERICA is run the way it was intended you may feel differently ,,TODAY we have no comparison & peoples say that our system does not work ..Well, when has our system had a chance to prove itself ..NOT LATELY..LET's give ourselves the chance to SEE real AMERICA....

yes, if American were run under its laws

how can electing anyone to office change the fact that the system, as it is, ignores its own rules?

How can any change be accomplished in such circumstances?
