How do we seduce the Republican party to our way of thinking?

None of the sheep seem to ever go on the internet. All they ever seem to do is read the paper or magazines or listen to the radio or watch tv news, then complain about how liberal all the media is then vote exactly like their newspaper, tv, or radio said to.
Can we the liberty movement start a magazine or something, that would appeal to them and over the next year seduce them to our way of thinking for the next congressional primaries.

One person at a time
Get involved in the local Republican party meetings. Really. They aren't monsters, just very uninformed. Most of them are truly conservative people who think we should be left alone. They just need education. Once they know you are not an alien, they will be responsive to things that are relevant. That is where it begins and ends.
I am not talking about the Republican party meetings; I am talking about local groups of Republicans. The party hacks really drown out the meetings and monopolize. If you have enough RP people, though, you can make an impact.

You mean the Republican
You mean the Republican voters, or the Republican owners of this country?
Because you can't do anything with the owners. And the minority who make up the 21% Bush approval rating base are all nuts.

There are TONS of magazines out there
Problem is, circulation never seems to get past 10-20,000.
The Mainstream Media cannot be countered with a few magazines, each preaching to the choir in 10,000-person subscription bases.
We need to own the mass media machine to compete with it. Got a few trillion laying around?

I'll just throw some ideas
I'll just throw some ideas out there:
Maybe writing letters to local newspapers (the goal being that they are published in the paper) will help. They should be very well written, and the points should be very clear. Avoid making too many assumptions, so it's easier for those that have no idea what you're talking about to follow. I think conspiracy theories should be completely left out. We have more than enough ammo with verifiable facts and logic. Bringing up conspiracies doesn't help overall (some people come around because of them, but it turns more people away because they think you're crazy).
Hand out literature. Hand out books. Talk to business owners (a lot of them vote republican, and they sometimes have a little influence in the community).
Run for local offices, and actively campaign. Communicate with the voters in whatever way you can think of (websites, videos, literature, advertisements, going door-to-door, slim jims, signs, commercials, etc). And do the best liberty-consistent job you can if you get elected and keep pro-actively communicating with the voters.
Letters to editor series
Each week write a letter about a different part of the constitution. Include the original intent and how it is violated today. May take awhile but we must educate people.

You are absolutely correct.
You are absolutely correct. For the most part we are talking to children..their eyes glaze in about 10 seconds flat...they are not involved..
I was thinking of perhaps videos...with a humorous but truthful message.
In all the movies today there are hidden messages. Ours should be patriotic...tough good guy wins against overwhelming odds...think Sly Stallone..
Etc..
That's a good idea. We will
That's a good idea. We will also have to stress why it's important to follow the constitution, because many people view it as some old, irrelevant document that has no bearing on us today, and may not see why it's a problem that it's being violated.
I'll also mention that I'm
I'll also mention that I'm not convinced that running for office in either the Republican or Democratic parties is the best way. I personally think going "third-party" is better. But communicate with voters from all parties. Work together with like-minded individuals that are running for other offices. Support and reinforce each other.
you don't/// you have to
you don't/// you have to take it over! they are a statist party.. they do not honor the bill of rights or the constitution.. we have to have our people get involved in the party from the floor up..

Look at Goldwater - and they screwed him too! What part of "there is no difference between the two parties" is so hard for everyone to understand. Just like Ventura said - it's like professional wrestling.
