The Wave
Submitted by vincebodie on Wed, 11/05/2008 - 13:11A friend of mine sent me a link to this movie, and I just finished watching it. It's a little cheesy, but man oh man the message could not be more spot on given current events. It's called "The Wave":

I never thought rebellion would come wrapped in a cable knit sweater, and there is small Bill Hicks moment near the end... ;-)
Anyhow, if you agree that this is a must see movie, PLEASE spread it in a caring way to everyone you know, especially if they voted for Obama and/or have teenage children. Maybe something along the lines of:
"Now that the election is over we need to unite as a country behind our new leader, and I think this movie makes an excellent point about the work we have cut out for us. Please set aside an hour this evening to watch it with your family."
And if your initial reaction to the above paragraph is "$#@% you, I'm not uniting behind that %$@##$&!!!", watch the movie and I think you'll understand why I think it would be a good way to present it to Obama voters. Remember that thing about flies, honey, vinegar, etc...
As for McPain voters, well you'll just have to think up your own intro.

It is a little cheesy looking but shows exactly how the Obama youth ae being manipulated! IT soesnt matter if this actually happened in a high school because the menthods protrayed are based on how Hitler manipulated not only youth but a whole population!

I tend to agree, given the mass celebrations and hostility of the people who downed a bottle of blue pills last night.

Whenever I hear a controversy about whether or not an event like this really occurred, I always tend to lend more credence to the side of the controversy that supports what is right and fair. And whether the story depicts real life events or not, the message is as real as it gets.
