Any guesses? I realize some have many layers of rose colored viewing enhancers on but how long before they come to terms with the idea that we're not getting out of Iraq, there will be no 'helping hand' offered (we can't afford it) and the policies he espouses sound strangely like the ones McCain came up with.

Probably,
by June 09. Violence in Iraq will increase any day now, to ensure that our troops can't come home. Afghanistan will get more troops, and some event we can't even think of, could happen to keep us at war forever, or until the world is destroyed. The military industrial complex and Haliburton and others have too much invested to stop now.

Disagree with Iraq
This is one topic I think Paulites have been too hard on B.O. He has said they will withdrawal troops completely out of Iraq, including bases. Now he will go into Afganistan to protect those poppy fields but I do believe our military costs will be lower out of Iraq.

There is nothing in our history that shows America in perpetual warfare. We will retreat out of Iraq sooner or later. I'm not saying we might not invade some other country for awhile, but do you think any Americans will put up with another 5 years of Iraq? C'mon WW2 only lasted 6 years. We are running out of people to kill in Iraq.

Troops stationed in a country is a lot different than war
I don't like Obama, but ending the Iraq war will still save a lot of money and the public will just not go for another five years of iraq. If they do, then we really are in trouble.

Most people seem to have forgotten there is a war over there at all - why be bothered by something you have no connection to? This attitude is why we are in real touble NOW - and it goes way beyond Iraq.
